California Highway Patrol Won't Release Footage of Drunken Paul Pelosi Arrest
Just to be clear —Paul Pelosi drove drunk, ran a stop sign, and hit another driver. Those are the facts. And here’s another one: the California Highway Patrol won’t release the video footage of the arrest because it could “jeopardize” the investigation. It’s not liberal privilege, you see —it could really impact the investigation No one is buying that line of bull.

According to the New York Post, “In a separate press release Thursday, the DA’s Office said that it has not decided yet what, if any, charges, will be filed against the 82-year-old businessman.”

“This is standard protocol in any DUI case that is referred by a law enforcement agency in Napa County,” the agency stated. “No decision has been made at this time. Any speculation to the contrary is incorrect.”

No charges for Pinot Paul —who smashed a Porsche into another driver while driving drunk through wine country? Well don’t that just smack of liberal elitism and a two-tiered justice system that caters to the Royal Pelosis.

“Paul was released from jail on May 29 on $5,000 bail. He could face misdemeanor charges such as driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol content level of 0.08 or higher,” the Post reported.

$5,000 dollars? That’ll show him.

Ummm, bail isn't punishment, and he'll get the $5k back when he shows up in court. Standard procedure for these unless he's got a history.

If they skip charges and sentencing then roll with the outrage

Not trying to support this guy, but let's attempt to be rational just a wee bit

Pretty sure this would be standard procedure so as not to bias a potential jury. As a prosecutor you do not want to give the defense that card to play.

All his top picks are rigged by Nancy in the House. Depends on who is benefiting from getting government contracts and stolen loot. Insider information / Insider trading you know?
That's illegal for bums like you they say.

Ain't gonna happen. I hear you have to write a big check to the Pelosi Fund and then you'll be invited to one of her Vineyard Parties where you'll hear her speak unspeakable things and do unspeakable things. If you can survive all that, they might give you a tip on where the dirty deeds are being done.

You are exactly right for a situation like this one- where the accused has the means to bond-out immediately and a private lawyer. If he has no prior DUI and an otherwise good driving record, he might enter a pre-trial diversion program for first offenders, but IDK for sure. Even people with public defenders can get that- after they bail-out.

It is if it means you’re free to go home but are stuck sharing it with the drunken crypt keeper Nancy. I’d rather stay in holding tank.

You should be thankful.
A modicum is much better than a premature one.

Pelosi’s Husband Charged With D.U.I. in California Car Crash

A blood sample taken from Paul Pelosi, 82, more than two hours after the crash had a .082 percent blood alcohol content, the office said.

NYT

Paul Pelosi, the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, has been charged with alcohol-related offenses in connection with a car crash in Napa County, Calif., in May, the Napa County District Attorney’s Office said Thursday.

The charges include driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury, and driving with a 0.08 percent blood alcohol level or higher and causing injury, prosecutors said.

A blood sample taken from Mr. Pelosi more than two hours after the crash had a .082 percent blood alcohol content, the office said.

The office said that the punishment for the charges includes a minimum of five days in jail and up to five years of probation. Mr. Pelosi, 82, is scheduled to be arraigned in Napa County Superior Court on Aug. 3.

“Under California law, these charges can be filed as a misdemeanor or felony,” Allison Haley, the county district attorney, said in a statement. “Based upon the extent of the injuries suffered by the victim, the district attorney filed misdemeanor charges. This decision is consistent with how our office handles these cases with similar injuries.”

A spokesman for Mr. Pelosi declined to comment on Thursday. A spokesman for Ms. Pelosi said in May that the speaker would not be commenting on the “private matter,” which occurred while she was on the East Coast.

On May 28, Mr. Pelosi was driving a 2021 Porsche and attempted to cross State Route 29 when his car was struck by another vehicle, a Jeep, at 10:26 p.m., according to a California Highway Patrol report.

The statement from Ms. Haley did not make clear the nature of any injuries. The California Highway Patrol had said there were none. Neither Ms. Haley nor the California Highway Patrol could be reached late Thursday.

Moses was leading his people through the desert for 40 years. It seems, even in Biblical times men avoided asking the way.
