All stem cell research comes from 2 abortions in the 70's, I do not quite remember. So say 1969 to 1985.

For the purpose of this discussion, they have been cloned since then. The process is actually different, But all stem cell research is done from stem cell copies from those 2 abortions.

Them and Monogram were my favorite manufacturers.

who do you know has had an abortion?

Borndead is asking some really poignant questions about the future without purposely making people take cover...but avoidance says a lot so far.
This ain't so simple and maybe it really is no one's frankin' biznatch but those making the torturous decision.

Sorry….these guys gheyed the thread and your post was buried. LGBZTQ stuff isn’t even affected by abortion.

Thanks for the response. I wasn't singling you out, HD. I was just trying to make a point. Laws have to be enforced, and the everyday blood and guts enforcement of laws is something a lot of people don't think about (until it affects them or their family).

You and I live in CA, so it is very unlikely that we will ever see the results of the enforcement of new abortion laws comparable to laws in TX, AL, GA, etc.

But those cases are (potentially) coming. And we will very likely see cases like Texas vs. Jane Doe in which a woman has a miscarriage but declines or is unable to provide proof of a miscarriage to the district attorney. Or State of Alabama vs. Jane Doe in which an AL resident travels out of state to get an abortion.

And in those cases, people who support those laws and/or vote for politicians who pass those laws are going to have a hard time when those laws touch them in some way. And those people are absolutely not thinking about that.

Geez! And I thought it was the other way around, evidenced by the videos of the enraged woman (or whatever they are) howling like banshees about the SCOTUS decision.

Yes!!!

I have noticed that!!!

Even the cutish ones... it's like... I don't know, she doesn't even care about her own rights... how smart can this b*tch be... hate to accidentally knock this one up.

But they're usually not cute... probably because they spit out 5 kids already and they think everyone should be spitting kids out like a champion bulldog...

Ever why don't they call female bulldogs cowdogs?

Neither have I till just now.

Is the overturn of Roe V Wade really about faith and women's reproductive rights? How about we bust it down to the most basic level? Right V wrong?

Prolly should throw in abusive federal government over reach too. The constitution pretty clearly states what the federal government can and cannot do. So maybe, just maybe we can conclude states rights are more important than the federal government? Nah, read the constitution, a little dry, a little outdated, written by elitists. Nah, I'll leave that for the AOC's of the world.

I do want the government to do their damn job as stated in the constitution. Crazy, impossible, outdated, and so it goes. This is America, love it or leave it. It is a privilege to be an American. Many of us need to remember that.
