I've been berry bombed.

A local fruit cake dropped off a few pints of fresh raspberries at the door step of my folks' place this morning. Didn't even knock.

Thought he'd be sneaky but my Dad saw you hit and run Mr 8track.

Happy to contribute to happiness.
Figured your parents might be relieved from my shenanigans this time around.

I speak the truth. Never underestimate 8Track's ability to creep people out. My parents found if funny.

Hopefully he's not at the soccer game at Lambeau. Crazy wind and rain going the past hour. Rain gauge in my parents' garden says we got 1" of rain so far.

Looks like the bulk of the storm has passed and they are coming back out from locker room to play again.

Two Four NINE!

Managed the elusive double of getting both sunburned and nearly drowned in the same afternoon.
What a fantastic event. One of the best in my life. People from all over the world enjoying food, drink and fun.
Laughing, joking, good natured banter. Even had a nice chat with a guy sporting a Tottenham jersey.

This morning, I need to drive into a dicey neighborhood in an effect to return some lost property.
Am considering requesting a police escort.

I came in second in our fun shoot yesterday, I was tied for first place so we a shoot off trying to hit a clay pigeon at 200 yards. It took him 2 shots and me 4 shots.

85 going to 89. Afternoon thunderstorms... again.

I'm really hoping this year is an anomaly. When I read up on it, the google says it rains an average of 11 days in Jax in July.

Been here for 9 days and it's rained all of them. horse

Safely in and out of the questionable neighborhood with the goods returned to the sister of the gentlemen.
I think they thought I was a cop.
Have heard that I have that look.

Mornin' dudes.

Need to get out there with the pupper. Got some stuff to do... he needs a nexgard renewal and a bath. I could probably use one, too.

The bath, not the nexgard.

Canadian Geese in a park we walked through today. Let Tank off leash so he could chase them. He enjoyed that.

The geese did not.

Canadian Geese are jerks. They walk around more entitled than some people in a crosswalk.

Shpo Monday.

We have a whole flock of 'em that hang around and crap all over the #2 green at my local golf course. Not one of them can hit a sand wedge.

Exactly why I let him chase them. Bastards chased me enough when I was a kid, just trying to catch some fish at a local pond.

We get flocks of Canadian Geese visiting the Savannah River, no doubt crapping in the rive, but they are noisy all night long. When we lived in Texas there was a milo field behind our house. Every year thousand of geese would overnight in the field, especially after it was harvested. Easy to chase them away with a firecracker, but it wouldn't be long before they were back raising heck again.

Had a flock that would spend nights on the 10th tee in my first job as a greens keeper. On average each goose chits 3lbs a day. Had to mow that tee every morning

Thus began a lifelong hatred of those fuggers

Beautiful day here in WI. Mid 60's clear skies with some wispy clouds.

Planes passing overhead every now and again for the EAA fly in this week. https://www.eaa.org/airventure/features-and-attractions/airventure-highlights.

Saw two formations of five P-47's (at least that they looked like from the ground) fly by late afternoon yesterday.

Gonna take a hike through the Horicon Mash today. https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/topic/Lands/WildlifeAreas/horicon

Prolly gonna take the kids to my brother's shooting range tomorrow and do the air show on Wed.

58 heading to 80. Smoke may creep into the Bay Area from a significant fire near Yosemite. Apparently Tahoe and Reno are already getting a lot of smoke.

It’s fire season!

Flood season also. Flagstaff had two fires in June totaling about 30K acres. Now the monsoon rains are causing flooding in those areas and homeowners are having to sand bag their properties or get inundated in water and mud.

The land mass of Jacksonville is enormous. You can literally drive almost an hour west and still be in Jacksonville. The running joke is:

It's not raining here...

There's no hotties here...

The beer isn't cold here...

You must be in the wrong part of Jacksonville!

I think I've been in most parts at this point. From dog park, to furniture stores, to food stores and Asian markets... we're looking around quite a bit.

Been runnin' n gunnin' since early.
