I just wish the company, or whoever is hiding behind the keyboard and phone line would be transparent with us, and at least reply to numerous customer service requests regarding existing and paid for orders that are just not getting shipped, and no phone calls being answered, new customer, and this would probably be my 1st and last order from this establishment.

You know... there's a price for the deep discounts on gurks ...

The price is you have to come in here and admit to us you overbid on gurks.

I get your point, however, it is a supply and demand issue. There are a ton job openings out there and not as many willing workers. If you would be interested in working for Cigarbid, spending 8+ hours a day answering calls from cranky FOGs and newly entitled and demanding millennials bitching at you about their cigar issues, let Shana know and she can get an application out to you.

Transparency is always preferred, but some hands are tied. Employees sharing too much about what is going on behind the scenes can get them in hot water- especially if the signed a non disclosure agreements.

Think Shana did a great job posting here with the information she did share. That and subsequent communications provided that transparency, but at a cost.

If you are posting here, you aren't answering emails and phone calls.
If you are answering emails, you aren't answering phones or posting updates here.
If you are answering phones, emails and posting here doesn't get done.

It is an imperfect world with all sorts of supply and demand problems.

You'll beg for these days of inconvenience if China moves across the water and takes out Taiwan and we get into it with the PRC. Stoplights, water and electricity could potentially be a mess in the USA.

Take these cigar inconveniences as a First World Problem and a blessing.

I'd happily suggest you do that.
-One less customer complaining.
-One less person bidding against me.
-One less person whining here.

Um, I mean.... You'd be missed.

I get all your points, however, if those are a fact, not just another opinion, since nobody from this company did reply to confirm any issues, items we bid on showing stock available, should either be showing out of stock before allowing bids, or at least have some decency not to charge our credit cards until ready to ship, or if not able to ship within reasonable timeframe, or not in stock after we win the auction that shows in stock, to let us know, and let us cancel our orders, instead of saying that orders can not be canceled by the buyers. My point is simply that it’s better to have fewer happy customers, then a lot of unsatisfied and never returning ones, and then all the ones that are upset by being outbid on stuff they feel they paid too much for, can have it all to themselves, and wait for whenever company feels like they want to ship their items, there are plenty others like cigars.com that don’t play these games, and ship as promptly as they promise, if not sooner, yes, you do pay little more, but for 1st quality cigars, not mostly seconds, bottom line is - you do get what you pay for.

Lol, yes, you should shop at cigars.com or cigarsinternational.com and pay full retail...

That'll show em.

Not trying to show anyone anything, have been for years, and will continue shopping at Cigars.com, by the way, most prices there for 1st quality, not seconds, are still way under full retail, I’ll not comment on cigarsinternational.com, as most of you probably already know, and those who care, take your time and do your due diligence.

I have several orders that have yet to ship and it’s been quite a while now. This has never happened before. Usually the cigars ship the following day shortly thereafter. I Emailed twice to check if there is a problem with no response and also called. Nobody answers the phone ever. All I want is brief communication as to the status of the order.

They are owned by the same company, yes. But when I sent out a tweet to Cigars International about Cigar Bid’s lack of customer service, I was told they had no control over Cigar Bid even though it is a sister company as he referred to it.

I agree, and weeks without any response, or any communication is not acceptable.

We tried the universal thread for issues. It was underutilized. I appreciate your optimism though

I was a customer several years ago, then stopped smoking for a while. I started collecting/smoking again recently. Something is seriously jacked up with their customer service. I had a fairly large order recently. The only thing that shipped, so far, was a lot of 4 items, at $4/item. Simple math is $16, right? I was charged $37.95 for shipping and $57.98, for a grand total of $113.93…..for 4 cutters, won at $4 each. As I’m checking my bank account today, they have charged me TWICE, for two totally different amounts, totaling almost $1600.00, for the remainder of the order. What kind of Mickey Mouse operation are we dealing with here?!?

Thats what happens without PlatinumPlus membership…

Seriously though, I assume you contacted your CC company.

And that goes for ALL of you having issues with your order. If cbid charged you, and its been too long, simply dispute the charge with your CC company.
That seems to work pretty well……….squeaky wheel and all…
