I don't always agree with Levin (he's too neoconish), I do agree with him on this point but I would go further and call for the repeal of the wholesale infringement of our rights to the power acquired by the federal government in 1913 to tax our incomes—the Sixteenth Amendment and defund the IRS completely.

Sorry but the Model Y is no longer eligible for the EV tax credit this year since the 200,000 limit has already been reached. Now the 200,000 limit is removed for 2023 but if the vehicle exceeds the $55,000 MSRP there is no credit.

Right now as it stands only about 20 EV vehicles will be eligible based on the new law.

Now since this is a tax credit and 57% of Americans did not pay any Federal income taxes in 2021, even if they bought a qualified EV vehicle, they would get nothing. As usual, a Democrat joke of a law.
