ram27bat I bid on an auction item and found that there is another person bidding who will get 510 cigars if he/she has the winning bids. I don't know if this person is in other auctions. Who out there has the storage capacity for 510 cigars if not a reseller?

Well I can't say I've loaded up like that at once, but a recent estimate puts my storage capacity somewhere in the 1500-2k range. And as Mr. White said, "I intend to smoke every last one of them."

Link to the auction?

Sometimes, people will bid on ALL the lots, knowing they will get outbid eventually on most of them. Whatever they win they win. If no one else outbid then though, they get a ton of cigars at a great price.

Basically everyone on this forum?

You mean you don't have capacity for 510 cigars?

WTF is wrong with you?

Not me right now, but I have bought that many before. I probably put in several thousands in bids, but rarely end up with a buy over $ 500. I sometimes get a bit panicky about winning all those bids, but rarely win more than 10%. Most of the reselling is on lighters and accessories, which I tend to bid on just to keep the resellers from making too much money. I rarely bid on stuff that another known forum member is bidding on - except for a few that I really don't like.BigGrin

I could store 510 cigars.

On one shelf, wanna guess how many shelves I have?
Answer: more than you.

Might be a shpo. My local tries like hell to carry cool stuff, took over a YEAR for LFD to start restocking them and when it happened selection is thin and no cool stuff except LaNox and Volcada. But they are carrying Diesels, didn’t know they were anything but online.

So in summation a couple thoughts.

1. Never lose a bid, it’s a sign of weakness.
2. Things can be more complicated than you assume, other than you’re weakness for losing a bid.

To be fair I probably only have a couple hundred anymore, I have no need for the excessive storage these days by choice. Don’t chase anything and don’t really buy in numbers to try new stuff, primarily utilize my shpo for that when I can and if I can’t I don’t ….I get boxes of 2 particular cigars when low and that’s it.

I need to pare down too, 12 places to look for a certain cigar is time consuming.

I’m kinda annoyed with the volume I’m keeping. Keep saying I’ll build one large cabinet then an overflow or two would be maybe more acceptable

For some reason I’ve never found a CAO that made me want to actively bid on…at least on this site.

I'd go for some of their Amazon Basin stuff. There was a Corelana or something like that a couple years back that was purty dang good

CAO Brazilia Gol! and Partagas Black are what got me back into cigars again, if not for them I never would have found this place.
