Remember the days when your friends and coworkers trapped you in a corner and made you buy candy or cookies for a school fundraiser? This post is like that, only no candy or cookies. I apologize in advance but, I've been told I have to post this or else...

Today is my daughters first day as a teacher. She's a special education teacher here in Philadelphia at Olney Highschool. She teaches kids with Autism aged 14 - 21. The school was a public highschool then went through several different charter companies and this year is back to a public school. Which means she was given zero budget for her classroom. She's put together an Amazon wishlist for things she wants for her classroom and asked me to post the link here.

https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1HZZGOY01TVQ?ref_=wl_share

Any help is appreciated.

Remember, it's for the children and God is watching.

P.S. I tried to avoid posting this here all week but she insisted and has been checking to see if I posted the link. So...

Hi, Abigayle. I posted the link. Please stop yelling at me.

I think we'll need an address to send the stuff?

Maybe a PM?

I'm in but need an addy to where to send it. Probably not prudent to post the address on the public forum so send me a PM.

You just use the link to buy an item and the shipping info is already there. There is a box to leave a note so you can let her know who sent them item. Thanks again;-)

Alright, I'm a sucker for a broke teacher... I married one after all, but she got smart and went into accounting, which is good for us!

It's odd. I just can't figure out why so many people left this forum. It's a conundrum.

Well, you left for like 5 years and iirc, unannounced so you’re a part of the leaving puzzle too.

I've seen no photographic evidence that either supports nor denies this claim

This sounds suspect. Good to know Investigator Gerbil is on the case/wheel.

Thank you to everyone who sent something!

on another note...

Remove my name from consideration of ANY alt account. Alt's are not my style. Up until a few days ago I still thought Ben was Major Boobage. Noticed a few other alts recently and I have no idea who any of them might be.

Want to solve a mystery? Explain how I saw the Harlem Globetrotters on Gilligan's Island playing against robots and just a day later I watched them solve crimes with Scooby and the gang as cartoons. If anything makes you President of Earth it should be the ability to do that.

Well I also saw Scooby and gang with Batman and Robin. So conceivably Batman, Gilligan, and the Globetrotters all exist in the same universe.

A new full length Gilligan feature may just be what DC needs to break their cinematic universe out of its slump

I'd like to say thank you to everyone. The boxes are piling up and more are on the way. My daughter is super excited and her kids will love this stuff.

If I ever meet any of you in the real world I will totally get in your van for a piece of candy. I had dinner with Anthony two weeks ago and he got me in his truck without the promise of candy or puppies! He's just... charming. Beguiling even.

It's driving me crazy that I'm not allowed to open any of them until she gets here.

Great, I hope the items help. My Mother and one Aunt taught school for their entire working lives, not an easy profession.

Good thing you cannot open the boxes, ya know Amazon gift orders allow messages, just saying. Whistle

I'm horrible during holidays. There's something about an unopened box that just makes me itch. Even when I know whatever is in the box has nothing to do with me.

Tracking says my package arrives on Monday. There is no note or message. It is anonymous, like Batman.

Side note: My mom was a teacher for one year. She hated it, no idea why. Went back and got a masters in journalism and then became a press secretary for a Democrat US Congressman in Washington DC.

Batman's stealthy, but far from anonymous. He straight up said, "I'm Batman."

Mine have messages. May they be cherished by all
