I did my best to send the noops with problems to Franklin Graham and I think they are now on a church forum and gave up cigars.

The Politics Forum, in and of itself isn't to blame- because you don't have to click onto it!
Now, if Politics is an important reason someone was here, I think a lack of decorum would be the cause of people leaving.

Also, we could do a much better job of encouraging newbs (remember them?) to stay. Harassing them away certainly doesn't help.

turnover is the norm in community forums...there are usually a few OG's who will ride it to the end, having established a personal connection, an identity linked to this place...

then there are a few lookeyloos who will pop in, sniff the air and back away...

and the rest fill in between... posting, dialoguing, participating and trading, to some degree ...and then life happens, this gets shuffled down the priority pole, and they roll on down the road...

and I agree that lack of decorum can be one of those "life happens and I don't need the aggravation with all else that's going on"...

Chose Politics Board, but the aggression seemed to be in many threads outside of the Politics barn.

Essentially that also led to many moderates out the door.

Much like real world, there is a group here of blind Tump loyalists here which have made much of the boards unreadable.

(Insert crickets).

The forum has never been so predictable, one sided and bland.

Congrats, followers of RayR. You’ve “won.”

This forum used to be fun. It was like a big band of Brothers (and Sisters). There were shenanigans, mass bannings, and the occasional epic dust-up or drunken tirade. Most importantly (to me anyway), there were a lot of VERY funny people. I've laughed at things on this forum until I was hyper-ventilating and had tears running down my face. You had to be bring your A-game to even get noticed. People like Big Chief, Pacman, Wheel, Country(and the sad tale of his butthole), and the ever elusive Magwitch. Trolls were dealt with accordingly. Now, like a lot of things in this country, it has been reduced to the lowest common denominator and is just dumb and sorta sad. I come on here out of habit now, I guess. It's like sex in a 25 year old marriage. It can still be good occasionally but mostly it's better than nothing.

ps.....I also want to be here the day the SSG finally offs Jonesy.

But………….but…………..then I’d be out of a job….

I’m just tired of screeching, crying noobs wondering where their Gurkhas are and lashing out at Shana and company. IDGAF about those noobs, particularly the ones who have buying 10+ years, and finally come in here to hysterically whine about their order problems.

That explains it HD...some stodgy old farts (A.K.A. Former Regular Posters) can't take a joke, and their diminished mental capacity can no longer keep up.

I never said Frank is responsible for what the Dr. Megele ward of that children's hospital was doing in his backyard, I was just wondering why Frank wasn't outraged.

Think I'm seeing an Effect and Cause correlation.

The more negative the boards get, the less Frank1 posts.

The less often Frank1 posts, the more negative the boards get.

It's like a plane that once varied between an elevation of 45,000 to 50,000 feet (with occasional turbulence) causing dips. Now its more like making slow ovals in the sky, with losing between 100 to 1,000 feet per day.

Wonder if RayR might actually be a radical Democrat in deep cover?

He's done more damage to the Republican chances in the Senate than any openly Democratic supporter. He keeps Trumpers in line while sickening moderate Republicans (cue the RINO calls) and alienating moderates, Independents and Libertarians here than any AOC, Pelosi or Schumer ad.

His hashtag MSBA. Make the Senate Blue Again.

No.
As a right of center person, and knowing other right of center people (Republican & Independents) turned off by blind loyalty to Trump and the extreme elements of the Republican party, you are helping clear the way for a much better blue result than 90 days ago.

At least you'll be able to pound your tired, Fox News from the late 1990s routine for another two years.

The painful shortsightedness of you Trumpies is painfully counter productive. Now that you and your ilk have most Republicans in senate races that are as to the right as they could almost be, people who would consider a moderate Republican but not a Trumpian one is either going to vote blue or not vote at all.

Good job Ray.

Making Ben mad doesn't mean much. Ben drives some additional Republican votes, but not as many as you alienate.

Chitting on Frank just makes you a chit person.

Nobody attacks anyone on the left, middle, or people not right enough more than you.
Reminds me of a recent president.
If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...

Or maybe more politely, the person who brings the absolute least when it comes to Frank's request of Making Cigarbid Fun Again.

There. I gave you the benefit of the doubt and the highest honor you are likely to earn from me.
