When it comes to politics, people like echo chambers. Now more than ever as we slide closer to “my way or highway to the re-education camps”.
For those that left here because of politics, I’m sure they have been successful in their quest and I wish them well but they are missing out on the fact that a lot of good people don’t have to always agree on politics to be friends. I suspect they also purged Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram as well. Today’s culture has resulted in people eliminating friends and family from each other’s lives as we demonize everyone. Is that part of the problem or the solution? (Of course since they’ve left they have about as much chance of reading this as the Amish do)
yes...and was happening before RayR's juvenile belligerence, personal attacks and name calling... but that kind of behavior, perpetrated by those like him, did drive some good folks away...most of them have gone with the wind...
I am one of those who does not enjoy a lot on Facebook and seldom go there... never Twittered or Instagrammed...
and I am happy within my cocoon...which includes the CBid forum, warts and all...too many good peeps I've met here, many with whom I don't agree about politics, but we have much in common and I call them friends
