Was expecting a delivery from the old MB3 place (interestingly, about the only cigars I don't order from them anymore are MB3's, better deals elsewhere)

The tracking info said it was going to be delivered last Thursday and, low and behold, when I walk in the door there is a bundle of cigars on the kitchen table.

[Now my wife does not usually open up my stuff, but between all the things she orders for us and her side-hustle home business, we get a LOT of packages, so it does happen -- enough that I have to warn her when a gift might be coming in!]

But to my dismay what was on the table was not what I had ordered, but something called "Rosa Cuba." I looked it up on the MB3 site, its a sandwich/mixed-filler Nicaraguan stick going for $1.60 per or so even when not on special.

So I double check my order to make sure there was no mistake on my end and then fired off an email to customer service saying that I got the wrong order, what they sent was not even close!

Just a few seconds after hitting "send" my wife walks in to tell me these cigars were a gift to her boss who doesn't smoke so he gave them to her to give to me. "Oh, and you also got a package, I put in upstairs on the bed."

Well, you guessed it, the box upstairs was MY order.

Fired off a second email saying "never mind." Have had no response to either yet.

The kicker is the Rosa Cubas are not horrible. Yeah, its a yard 'gar, but its a pretty darn good one. The description on the site is spot on. Coffee, pepper & other spiciness. Although a bit squishy from the loose-pack, it burned a pretty long time and never got hot.

In short, you could do a lot worse if looking for something in this price range for the boat or golf course or, you know, yard work.

Also, wait a while before shooting off emails LOL

Smoked them many many years ago.

Way to mild for me to smoke today. Think

I would put the ones I have more toward medium than mild, but no way to would they blow anyone here away.

I had them this past weekend with morning coffee and on a couple of walks and they were not bad at all for that.

Did a quick search and found them even cheaper on other sites.

Also, with as easy as they lit and burned, these might be be my new go-to in the moochador for those that don't really smoke cigars but look to fire one up for fall campfires and tailgates.

These old ones were Rosa Cuba toros Ortiz Laboy and Media Noche and they came from a place in North Carolina around 20 years ago. Yard gar/ fishing gar.

They made a batch of long filler Rosa Cuba years ago, and they were fantastic smokes. I guess the batch was really small, cuz when I tried to get more, they were gone.

Haven't tried the short filler ones.
