. . . I do live on a rock! :-D

Haven't been on here for a while.

Haven't been off island since 2019!

Almost everything I see and hear from back over there in the world is gloom and doom!

Welcome back Benny. Was worried about you. I posted a thread a few months back wondering if anyone had heard from you.

Yeah... it took a while. But a mild case of it kinda came and went on this island.
There were some deaths reported on a couple of the other islands.

Several people here who are fully vaccinated tested positive.
I never got tested and haven't got the jab... or the 5 jabs... or is it 6??

I felt like I had a mild case of the Kwaj Krud for a couple of days, but I didn't miss work.
Anyone who tested positive had to take 5 days off and test again.

My 'shop' had a coworker off island and another who tested positive and missed almost 2 weeks.
That left me and one other guy, and a fill-in guy, to cover our 24/7/365 operation.

:-)

I saw an article about that DART thing. My first thought was.... it'll get deflected and hit some other planet in another solar system! Unless they have a deterrent too.... and then they can push it back at us... ;-)

If hop on my e-bike now and start the trek going point to point (as the bird flies) from Massachusetts, I could be at your place in about 55 days amusing a sustainable speed of 20 MPH.

Problem is the details kinda get in the way - the bike can't fly, I'll have to recharge my battery after 40 miles, piss and poop breaks, food, and have to cross some huge mountains then the depths of the Pacific Ocean and $hit...

Maybe if I put on some balloon tires and stuff, could probably just power and float through the Pacific Ocean leg of the journey... or just hold my breath for a really long time. Maybe a big 15,000 ft snorkel would help.

Hmmmm... I am new here, so bear with me.

You live on a rock in the ocean.
Your "shop" operates 24/7/365.

Are you a 'good listener' for a living?
