Happy Friday. Headed back up to the mountain house to meet with the company doing our estate sale. They will be evaluating each item and segregating items the new buyer has agreed to purchase directly. The sale is next week so this prolly is the last time we will be staying a few nights. Gotta clean out the wine cabinet and take any personal items, tools, etc that we missed on our last trip. Looks like a nice 78 degrees up there today but rain coming and a big drop in temps tomorrow.

Two weeks to close.

Who is Buller? Prolly a friend of John Galt?

Did you, perhaps, mean BUELLER?

Um, he’s sick. My best friend’s sister’s boyfriend’s brother’s girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this guy who’s going with the girl who saw John Galt pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it’s pretty serious.

So you don't know him at all. He should have quit at 30 flavors.

Dining set being delivered tomorrow... snag in the process. Got a call. Bottom part of the china cabinet is damaged on the back side.

2 solutions offered by the company:

A) Deliver everything as scheduled. Nobody will see the blemish, as it is on the backside. When we get the new bottom part, we'll replace it and remove the damaged one. Our bad. Obviously no charge.

B) We'll deliver the table and chairs. No China cabinet. When the new part comes in we'll deliver the china cabinet.

Fuuuuuhk.

I opted for A. Gimme my sheit, for fooks sake. It's been for gat damn ever since we ordered it. Jaysus, Mary and frickin' Joseph!

That said... much respect to the company and their process. Loading the item on the truck... oops. Blemish. They didn't try to deliver it and hope to God we didn't see it. They saw it, owned it, and offered to make it right... with options.

Difficult not to respect that.

Is it really a China cabinet? Sound more like a cabinet from China.

Gray start to the morning but the overcast is expected to burn off and hit mid 60's.

One of the local churches & parochial school in town has their annual bazaar this weekend (Friday to Sunday). Craft sales, auctions, small carnival for the kids with bouncy house, carnival games and stuff.

The biggest attraction is their sales of French Canadian food offerings. People come from all the nearby towns and line up to buy their rappe, poutine, meat pies and other food offerings. They go through nearly 3 tons of potatoes in a 3 day span with a bunch of old folks manning the kitchens to make all the food.

My daughter and I will probably walk down and and see what's going on. Word on the street is they have already sold out of their big sellers (rappe, poutine, meat pies). I hope the grandmas strap on their aprons and get back into the kitchen to make some more because I'd like to get some rappe and a meat pie... poutine not so much.

Tomorrow is a turkey lunch feast. That will probably be packed too.

Got home from work and the shed roof was steaming so vigorously in the sun I thought something may have caught fire in there.

No fire, but the thick cloud continued to rise from the roof for another 5 minutes or so before it lightened up to a normal morning wet/cold weather steam.

Grow Lights get to hot in the She Shed? Better call Jake from State Farm!!!

Neighbor across from us a couple years ago had his grow lights in the house catch fire I woke up on Christmas morning making coffee and watching the fire department put it out, then the cops showed up.. Seem's the guy had 42 plants he was tending too, cops started hauling the remaining plants out of the house, but they was nice about it. he didn't go to jail until Monday morning after Christmas holiday was over.

Attempts to get some of the food stuffs at the bazaar was a fail. There were like a 40 minute wait for pick up and the parking lot was full of cars waiting in line for take home stuff. If you wanted to eat in the school cafeteria, the line extended out of the building, probably a 30 minute wait.

Couple of the granny's that cooks the food lives in the apt building where I live. I'll get the recipes from here and make my own someday.

Good Saturday Afternoon! It's already 76° on the way to 81° today.

Slept late this morning; went to our Granddaughter's HS football game last night. She in in the school band and they did a halftime show. She attends a small magnet school and the music teacher quit mid-year last year so the students took over the music program and did quite well. This year they have a new teacher and have won some awards. Our granddaughter is the leader of the percussion section. She takes after her Grandmother, a stright A student and is about to inducted into the National Senior Beta Club and National Honor society.

Waz up, guys?

Went to Honda dealership with my sister this morning to buy her a new car. The car she was trading in was leased. It's value/equity was like $7k, which helped her get into a new CR-V EX for just like $350/month ($20 more than she has been paying).

I know everyone thinks leases are a waist of money, but the last 5-6 cars we traded in had significant equity, which we owned and were given credit for by the dealer each time we traded a vehicle in. This ALWAYS works with Honda if you wait for the exact car you want to be on sale.

Now is the very best time of year to buy a new Honda if you will settle for a 2022- model as opposed to the incoming 2023 models.

I've only ever owned the newest model year once in my life when the Tundra first came out. Only $17k too for some crazy truck price perspective. Newest after that was 2-3yrs out for a couple of the wife's. For myself, 5yrs and up. I drive 'em until the equity falls right off and lays in the street

Great positive spin.
