Does someone you know have it?
Do you?
How frequently and for what duration when it does happen?
What, if anything are you doing differently because you have it?

My mother has it, it comes randomly she says. Nothing she can pinpoint that triggers it. She just tries to relax and breathe calmly to get back under control but sometimes it last for a few days.

I had AFIB several years ago. It will slow you down or stop you. Increased chance of a stroke. Been on meds ever since, but don't have as much endurance. My former doctor wanted me to see a specialist that would stop my heart and then restart it, but I declined. If you think you have it, go see a doctor before you stroke out.

HAVING Atrial fibrillation beats having GANGSTALKING BY 200 + FBI-SSG AGENTS any day of the week....

I know about both...I have an extra beat in the upper chamber since 2005...oh well ...it is what it is...

It didn't raise its head during the GANGSTALKING...

Just stress out the ass and two ketamine druggings by rogue agents... ATTEMPTED MURDER IS WHAT THAT IS...
BUT NOBODY GOT CHARGED OR CONVICTED OF IT ..THEY ALL SKATED AND LAUGHED PROFUSELY ABOUT IT IN MY PRENSENCE after I lived through it...GET TO KNOW SADISTIC FEDERAL AGENTS WHO BREAK THE LAW WITH IMPUNITY...

Had it a couple years ago 6 weeks after bypass surgery.Very short of breath, had to wait a couple weeks to get them to do a cardiovert due to all the covid restrictions at the time..Simple procedure and contrary to popular belief they do not stop your heart in this procedure. They shock the heart between strokes to get it back into sinus rhythm. I was unconscious for less than 5 minutes during the procedure, wifey was just outside the curtains is the only reason I know the timeline, felt more like I had slept 8 hours when I was awoke.I currently take a couple blood thinners(Eliquis) a day along with one Amioderone tablet...............both help prevent stroke and the amioderone helps prevent any further AFIB.I do know some people have different levels of AFIB and the ones with minor symptoms can live with it.

My older brother had Afib. He had a Catheter Ablation procedure about 6 months ago and has been able to resume being very active since.

I’m in atrial flutter right now. I don’t really feel anything other than an occasional palpitation. I’ve been in it continuously since October 3 this time (my defibrillator records all that stuff). They are scheduling a cardioversion. This will be the 10th or 11th time I’ve been shocked back into rhythm. AFIB affects people differently. I have shortness of breath and fatigue so it’s a real pita for me.

I'll just throw in that if you have it, keep in touch with your doctors. Regular visits. Stick to the medication regiment. Do not waver.

Not something to blow off. Stroke is the biggest risk, but there are others. Sometimes we can fix it sometimes we can not. But we can maintain it almost all the time.

Started a few years ago about every 6 weeks for 6 hours at a time. Then every 4 weeks. The latest interval was three weeks apart. Doc suggested if it gets to every two weeks, it’s time to sit down and find a path forward.

Thanks for the shares on this thread. Helpful to get other perspectives and experiences.

I got the call yesterday. My cardioversion is on the 10th. That will really help me out for vacation a week later.
