Kind offer, but I shall pass on that.
A double marathon (52+ miles) is a week can be done.

According to my phone app, while at "work" I typically average about 18k steps, around 9 miles in a 8 hr shift. Those numbers definitely don't come close to any level of a cardio workout.

If I were forced to run a marathon, I'd prolly make it a few blocks before needing CPR.

70 minutes in the zone... over 14k steps.

First day with the (new) fitbit. Crushed it.

I'm sure I won't be doing that often, but what with the daily dog walks... I'll see where it takes me.

You must be taking small steps. Treadmill? In my typical 75 minute 5 miler I only take around 11-12K.

I think a good goal for you two young bucks would be a 20 miler in one day. In my running life I used to do 3-4 of those in training for each marathon.

I think some of them can be, yeah. I'm walking a dog... so we stop for him to pee, smell, poop, say hello to every-damn-body, etc...

He thinks it is his duty to greet everyone with a happy tail so they know he's a good boy. On an hour walk I was only in the zone for 20 minutes. Likely at the end when he's pulling me home for breakfast.

I don't own a Fitbit so not sure what the "zone" and "cardio" are. I assume it's a heart rate algorithm of some kind.

Good Thursday Morning! It's 50° on the way to 58° today.

I have a Fitbit watch that is about three years old and still working. It's how I noticed my high pulse rate my doc is trying to sort out. It does not credit me for going up our stairs, the 180 turn apparently causes it to stop counting.

Yes. Fat burn heart rate or cardio heart rate. for me it's 103-123 / 124-150.

My resting HR is 61.

I think it’s something people do to replace “work” and “stress”.

I buy bigger shorts and XL shirts for just such an occasion. Gain weight... no worries. When they get snug, ya know it's time to exercise more and eat less.

Bike arrived. Unboxed, assembled, aired up the tires, and it is charging up for a few hours while I acquaint myself with the owner's manual. Sorta.... just skimming.

Maiden voyage will be tomorrow.

Y'all know I'ma break sumpin', right?

Killing off the turkey leftovers, tomorrow will be a chill day of cooking. Turn leftovers into some comfort food and freeze it for lunches.

Turkey soup is staged in the crock pot. I'll fire it up in the morning.
Then make a few mini turkey pot pies to be frozen.
Tex Mex turkey thingy recipe (another crock pot recipe). Don't know how it will turn out but let's give it a try.

Local grocery stores are trying to get rid of the turkeys. About $0.89/lb. Wish I had a chest freezer to store them in (in case of a zombie apocalypse).

Local Wally World has boneless prime rib going for about $10/lb. Might grab a hunk of that to cook on Monday.

Uno tree NINE!

Huh... might have to check WalMart, Costco and Sam's to see what Prime rib prices are. Shoot, at $10 a pound I may need to buy and freeze a few.

Mornin' dudes... coffee is in da cup. Puppy dog walk soon. Then we'll test drive the new ride. I got it charged up and the settings where I think I want them.

If I come away with no scrapes, bruises or broken bones I'll prolly leave it there. Anxious

All kidding aside Shawn I think you should take Al's advice. I once broadsided a car that turned in front of me while I was going 50mph on a motorcycle. The road rash and broken bones healed up. Noggins not so much. You may not go more than 20mph or so but iffn you are around vehicle traffic it would be wise.

I'm already an organ donor. I see a lot of folks here in FL riding motorcycles with no helmet. Crazy... but it is their choice and I respect their freedom to choose.

Pretty cool ain't it?

Mine has 3 motor settings:
0 = no motor, just human power.
1 = about 7 mph without human power (assuming the speedometer it correct).
2 = about 14 mph without human power.
3 = 19.8 mph without human power (speedometer display is set at factory default to peg out at 19.8 mph).

I definitely know at setting 3 with added human power and gravity (going downhill) I'm going faster than 19.8 mph. Prolly around 30 mph like you. I've put on about 800 miles on the thing this past year. I have a second one that I bought my son last year for Christmas. It has about 100 miles on it but he gave it back to me since we bought him his first a car.

I live in a rather hilly town so there is a lot of braking going downhill as I come to an intersection/stop sign. I've had to change the rear brake pads (disk brakes) twice. Brake pads cost about $20 for a set of 4 on Amazon.
