CLASSIC POGO.....

Deck us all with Boston Charlie,
Walla Walla, Wash., an’ Kalamazoo!
Nora’s freezin’ on the trolley,
Swaller dollar cauliflower alley-garoo!

Don’t we know archaic barrel
Lullaby Lilla Boy, Louisville Lou?
Trolley Molly don’t love Harold,
Boola boola Pensacoola hullabaloo!

Bark us all bow-wows of folly,
Polly wolly cracker ‘n’ too-da-loo!
Donkey Bonny brays a carol,
Antelope Cantaloupe, ‘lope with you!

Hunky Dory’s pop is lolly,
Gaggin’ on the wagon, Willy, folly go through!
Chollie’s collie barks at Barrow,
Harum scarum five alarm bung-a-loo!

Dunk us all in bowls of barley,
Hinky dinky dink an’ polly voo!
Chilly Filly’s name is Chollie,
Chollie Filly’s jolly chilly view halloo!

Bark us all bow-wows of folly,
Double-bubble, toyland trouble! Woof, woof, woof!
Tizzy seas on melon collie!
Dibble-dabble, scribble-scrabble! Goof, goof, goof!

from My Son The Folk Singer...Allan Sherman:

[parody of "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen"]
God bless you, Jerry Mendelbaum
Let nothing you dismay
This May you had a rotten month
So what is there to say
Let's hope next May is better
And good things will come your way
And you won't have a feeling of dismay
Next May

Brian Setzer Orchestra for his Swing attitudes has a couple I spin around the holidays, as well as Chanticleer for their stripped down Chorale.

GOTTA spin Elvis' and Bing Crosby's Christmas records...BECAUSE. Who would've thought of those doing them so well.

Special shout out to Rush Limbaugh (RIP) for promoting Manheim Steamroller the way he did around the holidays. I like a lot of their versions as well. The Techno Lite versions were like nothing I had heard up until them.

There's a house near the outskirts of town that does a Christmas light show every year synchronized with music. You pull over on the side of the road and tune into an radio AM channel for the music. Last year (or maybe the year before) they did Manheim Steamroller. It was really cool.

They have it programmed and the show starts around 7 pm (when it's dark out) and repeats itself about every 15 min until about 9 PM every day during the Christmas season.

Here's a couple vids that someone posted on YouTube

<--- this one has Manheim Steamroller about half way through.

I like the AC/DC impersonation version of “These are a Few of Our Favorite Things”

Don’t remember who did it, it wasn’t AC/DC but it was pretty close!
