^ Wishful thinking unfortunatley. It should be happening right damn now. I do not like double standards. As far as I can find Trump had no SCI level documents. Biden did and may still have some. And this has been under wraps since November.

Biden, and Trump, should be held responsible for their actions, both civilly and criminally: gather all the facts, determine the sensitivity of any documents deemed classified, discover whether any were leaked, intentionally or not, to potential and real adversaries, determine what damage was done to US interests, etc.

There are legal bars to civil action against a sitting POTUS and there has been historical precedent to avoid charging/indicting them criminally, while in office. All that played out during Nixon's time in office, and again during Trump's term. If criminal charges against Biden are warranted, indict him when he leaves office, as the legal experts advised in the numerous cases against Trump.

Nixon resigned when it appeared he would face impeachment and criminal charges. Trump refused to cooperate, ignoring subpoenas. If Biden pays a price while in office, it will be through the impeachment process. But can he be impeached for conduct before he was POTUS? If so, to what effect? Like with Trump, Biden has the protection from an impeachment conviction because of a friendly Senate majority. Will Dems give him a pass like the GOP Senate did with Trump?

Maybe this will be needed to dissuade future executive officeholders from abusing classified docs. This country does need another political sideshow, like the impeachments of Trump. The economy hummed along during that time. People spend money when they are entertained, and what could be better theater than seeing the nation's top office holder being publicly humiliated.

Biden should meet with Trump's attorneys, ASAP, while he is still POTUS, to determine who was advising him on how "a POTUS can pardon himself" and how Trump got a pass for handing over classified info to the Russian ambassador that put Israel at risk while in office. That was more egregious than mishandling/improper storage of sensitive docs, but we should wait until the extent of Biden's misconduct is determined.

The documents may have been taken before he was POTUS, but by maintaining them the behavior continues. And would they give him a pass? Not sure, I’m guessing they’re ok with this giving them a way out of having Mr. Magoo’s insistence on running again.

original reason for impeaching Clinton was a real estate deal (the Clinton's actually lost money despite claims of insider info) but Starr kept it alive until...well you all know.

Anyhoo, he was Gov when that happened. I guess that means the aLleGed crime can happen prior to becoming POTUS

Special Counsel finds five more classified documents at Biden’s Delaware home




The classified documents that have been found in a few locations belonging to President Joe Biden from when he served in the Obama administration as Vice President has yet another twist. Special Counsel Richard Sauber said over the weekend that he personally found five new classified documents.

“Because I have a security clearance, I went to Wilmington Thursday evening to facilitate providing the document the President’s personal counsel found on Wednesday to the Justice Department,” Sauber said.

“While I was transferring it to the DOJ officials who accompanied me, five additional pages with classification markings were discovered among the material with it, for a total of six pages. The DOJ officials with me immediately took possession of them.”

The first set of classified documents were found November 2, 2022 by Biden’s own lawyers at his office at the Penn Biden Center. The think tank’s office served as Biden’s private office from 2017 to 2019. Not only was the office his after he served as Vice President, meaning there is no business for classified documents to have ever been there, but the discovery of the documents was never publicly released until after the 2022 midterm elections. How convenient for Democrats.

Once discovery of the classified documents came to light, the White House Counsel’s office then searched Biden’s homes in Delaware this past week during which “a small number of additional Obama-Biden administration records with classified markings.” Most of the documents were found in a storage space in Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware garage, the lawyers noted.

We have now publicly released specific details about the documents identified, how they were identified, and where they were found,” Sauber said. “The appointment of the special counsel in this matter this week means we will now refer specific questions to the special counsel’s office moving forward. As I said Thursday, the White House will cooperate with the newly appointed special counsel.”

While White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has claimed the White House has been “transparent” on the matter, but when asked when Biden would speak about the issue, Jean-Pierre replied that she doesn’t have a “magic wand.”

Focus Moves to Office Joe Biden Shared With Chinese as Search for Classified Docs Intensifies



The discovery of two batches of classified documents from Joe Biden’s time as vice president could bring renewed attention to an office the president shared with his scandal-plagued son Hunter and a Chinese energy conglomerate linked to Chinese military intelligence.

Joe and Hunter Biden were "office mates" with executives from CEFC China Energy in 2017, according to emails from Hunter’s abandoned laptop. In an email to the general manager for the K Street office building, Hunter Biden said the office would be shared by his consulting firm Hudson West, CEFC China Energy, and the Biden Foundation, his family charity.

"[P]lease have keys made available for new office mates," Hunter Biden wrote in a Sept. 21, 2017 email, listing Joe Biden, his stepmother Jill Biden, his uncle Jim Biden, and Gongwen Dong, whom he identified as the "emissary" for the chairman of the now-bankrupt Chinese energy conglomerate CEFC.

While the Bidens left the office in 2018, their cohabitation with CEFC executives could raise national security concerns in light of the revelation that Joe Biden kept classified documents related to Ukraine, Iran, and the United Kingdom in another Washington, D.C., office. Biden aides have also discovered classified records in Biden’s garage at his home in Wilmington, Del. Attorney General Merrick Garland on Thursday appointed a special counsel to investigate how the documents, some of which are marked "top secret," ended up at the Biden properties.

Rep. Darrell Issa (R., Calif.), a member of the House Judiciary Committee, said the discoveries should prompt the Justice Department to conduct an exhaustive search of all of Joe and Hunter Biden’s current and former properties.

"If the DOJ and specifically the FBI haven’t conducted the widest possible search of every known location where Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, and their associates may have kept classified documents—this is in no way a complete or legitimate investigation," Issa told the Washington Free Beacon.

It is unclear whether any classified materials were stored at the Bidens’ K Street office. But CEFC employees’ access to the office could be of particular concern given the energy conglomerate’s ties to Chinese military intelligence. Hunter Biden worked closely with the firm’s former chairman, Ye Jianming. According to a Senate Republican report, Ye served from 2003 to 2005 as deputy secretary general of the China Association for International Friendly Contacts, a front group for the People’s Liberation Army that "performs dual roles of intelligence collection and conducting propaganda and perception management campaigns."

Hunter Biden also forged close ties to CEFC employee JiaQi Bao, whom House Republicans suspect of working for Chinese intelligence. House Oversight Committee Republicans last year provided FBI director Christopher Wray with "evidence of Bao’s close relationship to Hunter Biden and her attempts to ingratiate herself with his father." Republicans said Bao received a degree from Tsinghua University, a recruiting hub for China’s intelligence services. Before joining CEFC, she worked for China’s National Development and Reform Commission.

Bao appears to have worked in the Bidens’ K Street office, located in the heart of Washington’s lobbying district.

In a March 25, 2018, email, Bao asked Hunter if there was "anything in the office that you would like me to pick up/organize for you." Bao also urged Hunter to take as much money as he could from his partnership with CEFC. "Figure out a way to have the money transferred to the right U.S. account before any restriction levied by Chinese regulators," she wrote.

"After infiltrating the Biden family, Bao urged Hunter to encourage Joe Biden to run for president months before he announced and then supplied the Biden family campaign advice related to China," said Rep. James Comer (R., Ky.), the chairman of the House Oversight panel.

In 2017 and 2018, CEFC paid Hunter Biden $5 million to scout out energy deals in the United States and Europe. CEFC paid Biden another $1 million to serve as a legal adviser for Patrick Ho, a CEFC executive who was indicted for trying to bribe two African officials for oil rights. Biden referred to Ho as "the **** spy chief of China," in a May 2018 voice mail, according to Senate Republicans.

The White House did not respond to a request for comment.

It is completely unacceptable how common this seems to be... I can lose my job just for leaving a Classified Document on my desk when i go to lunch or the bathroom...

I am glad to hear that it appears pence and team are also doing the right thing and turning them over/cooperating. THAT is how it should be done... None of this No its mine and you cant have it followed by we turned it all in but actually didn't BS...
