Liar Liar Liar

Yeaaahhh..
Riiiggghhhhttt you are....
Freaking lying liar priiick f*u*kers...

Hey veteran...bend over and grab your ankles whilst we insert our c**kx into your star fish and deny your mere total $1,000 claim after $500 deduction....
And we perform an investigation over car worth $1,250...+ 20% car replacement coverage that you carry...($250)
Soo $1500 minus $500 deductible
Is $1000...

But we spend $400 on a tow company from FREAKIN Baltimore, MD 100++ miles away to Central, PA in a snow storm to tow you totaled car 18 miles away from your hut...

then we spend $300++ ? on an independent adjuster to "investigate it"...
Then the garage charges $250+?..to give inspection and fixing estimate
To do that and they pay my wages of $200++? to complete this claim...which costs us $1150

We could've just paid you the $1000 & kept a happy customer who has paid is premiums for over 40 yrs!!

I have USAA as well. It's likely a little more than I'd pay with another company, but I keep it because any time I have made a claim or needed anything it was easy and hassle free.

Sorry your experience hasn't been as good, Jonesie.

Prolly a poorly designed car bomb

Hate insurance folks. In particular medical insurance, but they all aim to take the money and not give it back

And it only got worse when the gov't MANDATED insurance for all. Auto and medical. You have to have it. They know it. So they bend you over.

Don’t have problem with mandated auto insurance. If, it wasn’t mandated then I’d pay waaaay higher premiums. But, hey driving is a privilege not a right. Don’t want to pay, then take an Uber.

Why is driving a privilege? I mean, I understand the need to ensure people know HOW to drive and the rules of the road... so I don't mind the licensure.

I guess since they can strip you of your license if you're not following the rules... yeah.

IIRC premiums were lower when auto ins was not mandated.

By that I mean it’s not something guaranteed in the Constitution.

Perhaps premiums were lower before insurance was mandated, but I wouldn’t necessarily attribute that to any such mandate.

Back then automobiles were less expensive as were repairs. Since it takes much more now to fix or replace a car the pool of money in reserve to do so needs to be larger. The only way to do that is with higher rates.

I also believe that lawsuit awards have also grown which also drives up the insurance companies required reserves. If we want any possibility of seeing rates fall the only place I see relief lies in some sort of tort reform.

Best bet is to get a low mileage 3/4 ton truck. Most people who buy those trucks keep em forever. But a 50k mile trade in means there's zero issues and the transmission will definitely be fine. d'oh!

Thanks for the advice danm..

I can't afford one of those...

Looking at a used 2001 volvo V70 wagon with 140 k
$3200.00

It's all I can afford...

I'd love to buy a Ford maverick hybrid truck but the waiting list is full for 2023 and I don't have $25,000.00 plus tax ...

I don't even have $3200...
I have $500 down is all..

I finally just gave up fighting "the MAN" ...ie...USAA

GOT A very nice adjuster to review my auto claim and almost got him to total the car...he chked with the.Mgr...
Then guess what happened...

Good old Mr. Jones got F##KED...

SAME OLD DELAY...TOW IT to another shop and get the added pieces broken by the fire...i asked them what was the value of my car...which would've helped me decide whether to jump more hoops, waste more peeps time and then they would value my car at like $750.00 ,... minus $500 deductible....
I'd get $250 @ best...

Screw it!!!

And screw that PATRIOT FOOTBALL GRONK F##KER!!!
WITHOUT HIS $$$MILLION DOLLAR PAYCHKS FOR COMMERCIALS MAYBE THEY'D TREAT OLD CUSTOMERS OVER 40 YRS RUNNING A LITTLE BETTER....

I HAVE NEVER FOUGHT FOR $1 L.A.R.G.E. SO HARD...
BACK IN THE 80'S I'D SPEND ONE LARGE IN ONE DAY IN BOSTON OR NYC...

F##CK IT...
ITS JUNK YARD BOUND...
$425 cash I'd better than $250...

THE FBI-SSG RFID CHIP SOUNDING LOCATOR THAT IS SOMEWHERE IN THAT P.O.S. CAR IS WORTH SEVERAL THOUSAND AT LEAST....

I HOPE THEY CRUSH THAT CAR WITH THAT RFID THING IN IT.

I have had USAA coverage 46 of the past 47 years. Never had any problems with them on coverage or claims settlement.

Is there another company that gives their members a subscribers account with annual dividends and senior dividends after age 65? Mine totaled $675 for 2022 and that is down from $1000 for each of the past couple of years.

Jonesy, you can drop your USAA coverage and after 6 months they will close your subscribers account and send the entire amount to you. It doesn't help your current situation but it puts money in your pocket.

I am considering it ...

They are all WHORES...AND competitors quotes low prices to get your money$$ and the coverage is never exactly the same coverage you had before...

USAA is within the group of top 10 auto insurers to make a claim within the U.S. Fair, well trained adjusters who don't haggle much on settlements. If I were still practicing law and drew them on every case, I'd be a happy camper- for sure!!!

Been a USAA customer for 22 years thanks to my wifes eligibility.

I am currently in the process of finalizing a Claim with USAA and couldn't be happier.

In 2016 we purchased a used 2016 (previous owner used it one time and wanted something bigger) Camper for 14k. We have used it a minimum 6 weeks a year since then and have logged easily 20k miles on it.

after our annual Thanksgiving end of season trip i noticed some damage and took it for repair/estimate to be told that it would be approx 10k to repair. called the insurance company and after a few days of back and forth with them and the repair place they decided to total the RV. i was worried because it is very lived in at this point and definatly not "like new" but they put my fears at ease when they offered us 16k as the write off amount after our $200 deductible...

thats right, we camped for 6 years in this thing, drove it up and down the east coast from MD to include canada, FL multiple times, Tenn multiple times, Boston, and many more local trips to the surrounding states. and they are goving us 2k more then we paid for 6 years ago...

All Hail USAA!!!
