One of the local cigar shops was opening up their first box of Lampert 1593 Edicion Oscura Toro when I was there so I grabbed a couple to test. This is a delicious, solid, easy draw maduro and burned perfectly all the way through. I think this was a $14 cigar so not cheap but worth the money. I'll be getting more.

LAMPERT 1593 EDICION OSCURA is a full-bodied, full flavor cigar and its first maduro cigar in the LAMPERT CIGARS portfolio.

The new line uses an San Andres wrapper and underneath an Indonesian binder and Dominican filler.

The Edición OSCURA is produced by El Maestro Cigars in the Dominican Republic.

Cigars will be available in three different shapes (Short Robusto, Robusto and Toro) in boxes of ten.

4 out of 247 isn’t a good average.

This was the first Lampert I've ever tried but I know what you mean about the Gurkhas. Are you saying I got lucky with a good Lampert?
