I know I’ve really liked the double ligero, although I have to be very careful with the next ones because the last one knocked me on my azz (smoked it way too quick). I also enjoyed the LFD Cammie you sent and it was good, but I think I like other cammies better (e.g., the preferido and the Aladino)

the LFD Double Ligero, regardless of vitola, doesn't care about your puff rate...you smoke it fast and it'll knock you on your ass...smoke it slow, and it'll take a little longer, but it'll knock you on your ass.

Hey, I’m not sure how this works, but I’d like to try as I’ve just started a decent little collection.

You will need to reach out via pm to Sunoverbeach to get on the trades list. He is the forum rep who (supposedly) has to approve all trades on the forum. We tease him because of it and call him the "emperor." He's nice, but not great at responding to pms in a timely fashion. I would say that if he hasn't gotten back to you by the end of the day, send him another gentle reminder.

Your package to me was more than sufficient, exceeding what is expected, and customarily delivered, by noobs in these trades. You've been an exceptional and deserving nOOb and have become a solid member of our community. You are welcome, and I hope you enjoy cigars that I have enjoyed over the years.

I sent out to Stinger the other day. Says it should arrive today, but the way the tracking looks maybe not
9500 1161 4507 4234 6408 35

Obviously David has been around the cigar scene long enough to know what he likes. It was relayed to me that newer offerings might be interesting. I won't pretend to know things about cigars I haven't smoked so just sending random "good smokes" from what I have could be considered disingenuous.

I did send 2x of a 2024 release from CH that in my note I inadvertently labeled as 2023. I don't think it requires aging as it was very good within a couple weeks of receiving. Maybe age would make it even better? How the hell is a nOOb supposed to know? And I just realized my DE offering has only been out a year so maybe I did OK.

Then comes the challenge of what is a newer release? When I think something is new (always new to me), I will look for a review or something only to find the blend has been out for 10 years.

So I sent a few cigars that I know. And the truth is that I don't know very much. Still, if I have smoked 3 of a particular cigar and will still pick one out the box filled with a very large quantity of never hads and smoke it, I guess that is a cigar I would say, "I like."

So I sent a few of those.

Sounds great. I am not picky at all. Pretty much smoke everything. I do have a few favorites but there really isn’t any rhyme or reason to it.

Your offering is mainly a “sacrifice” to see if you are willing to take the leap of staying on here and being part of the community.

I am fortunate to travel some for my job and have been able to meet up with a fair share of folks on here. To a tee, there are a bunch of great folks on here!

Tiver, I will work on putting together my side over the long weekend and will get it out on Tuesday, 3 Sep.

Damages from Tiver’s noob part:

Graycliff 10 Year Robusto (nh)
Flor de Las Antillas Mad Corona
Last Call Mad Pequenas
Papas Fritas
QuickDraw Pennsylvania Broadleaf Corona Gorda (nh)
2 x Crowned Head Coroneta Mad Earl (nh)

Plato de Tacos Tasting Kit (Rojas Street Taco Sampler (5 cigars))
-Barbacoa
-Carnitas
-Rojas x 3 Breakfast Tacos (AF Short story sized)

All in all, a great variety of cigars and some definite “never hads”.

Thanks Greg for including the letter…I will return in kind.

I will work on my end over the weekend and will try to provide some, hopefully, good information that will help you in your cigar journey.

Again, thank you very much.

David

Package from Stinger landed. A very nicely curated collection.

I'll post up contents once I get a closer look at the individual offerings, but upon first glance I can see great things.

nOOb/vet is a great cBid tradition. I am very fortunate to have been paired with Stinger88. He sent out cigars with the vet part of the trade along with some paraphernalia and a nice greeting note with a much appreciated intro. The note included thoughts on each of the cigars sent. Exactly what a nOOb can use.

Cigar stuff

A nice leather single cigar holder travel case
Small single torch lighter
Tatuaje branded cutter - Swag from a recent Tatuaje cigar event in Hawaii. That's about as close to Hawaii as I expect to get any time soon, but when I use it I'll just close my eyes and think about swaying palm trees

Cigars

AF WOAM x2 - noted by David as a hands down favorite. Perfect. The day before I received David's box I stopped at the Famous place as i was traveling through Easton, Pa on business. I picked up my first WOAM and smoked it. Lady Fortune has it that I should receive 2 more the next day to do a deeper dive and really get a feel for the blend.
CH La Careme Cosacos '19 Only had the robusto but love a corona
DE Undercrown Shade gran toro nh
Fable Fourth Prime Doc has me intrigued
La Aurora 1495 robusto I have dabbled with La Aurora and look forward to trying this
LFD Colorado Oscuro No 2 (4.25x48) ten years old - I have a few No 3 from early this year. I will enjoy comparing
Litto Gomez Small Batch 10 Looking forward to this. A little help on the "10"? 2010 release? Size matches the No3 from 2010
Padron 2000looks like maduro I've had, hold and have liked a few
Padron 1964 Pyramid nat I have a few Padron '64s but not this one. Haven't smoked any yet
Tatuaje While I have a few Tats resting, I haven't smoked but 2 or 3
Fausto nh
Halloween Capa Especial "Pumpkin Spice" nh
Skinny Monster 'Jason' nh
Viaje Birthday Blend '22 nh but the brand comes with good expectations

Three cigars from that island south of Miami. These are all nh, but I have another party short at rest. I look forward to a time to chill and discover some Cuban smoke

H Upmann coronas minor
Partagas short
Ramon Allones petite corona

David, thank you for this terrific package. I think the selection is truly great and varied. Your comments included for each cigar is just the kind of coaching a nOOb would hope for. Hopefully someday we'll sit down and have a smoke together.
