It came out ok. Hope this will provide some ideas as to why someone is willing to bid more than others.

These taxes may have gone up/down since then and the last election.

* This is by no means to stop overbid threads. I enjoy reading them.

You can see why it makes it very hard to patronize the local B&Ms here in Colorado. It would help if the manufactureres would set their list price closer to retail price. Or even better, auction price.

yeah, it's a lot to bear and i feel bad for the B&Ms that suffer for this.
I never thought i would say "wow, smokes are cheaper here in Cali than they were in Washington"

I'm not sure all the B&M's in my state are on the same sheet of music. I do support my local,he has fair prices but, he realizes the taxes kill him. The others I've been to seem too have the old taxes still applied to their inventory.

Don't complain, I live in fFlorida but come from Quebec Canada and the taxe are around 200%. I send a friend some cigar as gift and he is creasy about the money he save. Last time I send him for $100.00 and he said that if he bought these cigars in store he should pay more than $800.00.
This friend realy like me.

It's true; Canada is NOT the place to buy smokes. Plus, US is a pain-in-the-butt about bringing more than a box back in.
