Gentlemen, I would like to pick your collective brains on the issue of Cuban cigars. So far my personal favorite is the Cohiba Siglo IV, but would like to hear some feedback on what yours is and why?
Thanks!

my first Cuban was a Cohiba, Siglo IV, I still have 20 from the box and they are quite good. I also really like the Romeo Y Julieta Cazadores, incredibly rich, like smoking a steak dinner, so much flavor. I recently aquired a 50 size box of Punch Doble Coronas, I decided to wait a few years before trying them for the first time. I have heard that last years Cuban crop was not very good, but the harvest this year is excellent.

I've only sampled approx ten different Cubans when I went on my honeymoon in Cancun (YES...I DID purchase at La Casa, of course:))..Ramon Allones, Bolivars, Romeos, and Montes....I am finishing off a full box of Montecristo #4s (petite corona)...Got six left...Those are my favorite so far..Very tasty..Course, A Monte #2 is an experience in itself.

The best Cuban I ever had was a Bolivar belicoso fino. Nothing has ever come close. Romeo y J churchills with the gold band are pretty good and Monty #2 are a nice smoke as well. Not a big Cohiba fan.

I spent nearly seven years in Asia and the Middle East and have smoked just about every Cuban cigar made. The first 3 or 4 years I was like a kid in a candy store. I enjoyed many and thought some were just plain. Right now I am finding enjoyment in some of the less expensive "legal" brands in the states. Wanna know the very best Cuban!? Jose L. Piedra/Habana, 6x44, $40US per bundle of 25, anywhere in the world (except the the States, of course)

I would be interested in knowing how you acquire so many Cuban cigars. I would love to get a hold of some

You can find some sellers at the yahoo auction site, who have legit cubans at reasonable prices. Check my feedback to see who I bought from. I have had no dissapointments yet. Some of the cubans really pack a wallop, punch punch, ramone allones and the monty 1's 2's and the 4's are quite good. Expect to pay around $10-$12 a stick.

I’m surprised there were only 6 replies to the OP.

I can’t say I have a favorite Cuban but I still keep on trying to find it.

It's either a BBF, a PSD4, or a Party short. Or it might be any number of others I haven't tried yet

Vegueros tapados is probably my favorite. The single profile they have just seems to hit my palate about right. Would like to get my hands on some but I find it unlikely in today’s economic crisis over yonder
