You made it, hog! I think we've all committed the same before. In response: A vote for Buchanan is a vote for Gore. Typically those that vote for these 3rd party candidates would have otherwise voted Republican. If anyone is considering voting 3rd party, first ask yourself if you really prefer Gore over Bush. I KNOW what my answer would be.

Megalomaniac Ross Perot's Reform Party offers no acceptable candidate in my eyes with Buchanan. On the other hand, the American Reform Party offers even less with Ralph Nader. Gore/Lieberman are supporters of censorship (with Tipper's fights against the 1st Ammendment [did we forget about Tipper's attack on "Twisted Sister"?] and Lieberman's attacks on film, tv, and video game content) and Lieberman claiming that violence and sex in the media are leading to our downfall, calling for restrictions by the government. As an artist, this disturbs me as I do not want my 1st Ammendment rights compromised. Therefore, Bush is the only viable candidate for me. Take it or leave it, I was not going to vote, because I am not really for any of these candidates, but I will do all I can to ensure that Buchanan, Nader OR Gore get into office and screw this country up. (and you guys thought I couldn't be serious....)

Um, that is, I will do all that I can to ensure that NEITHER Buchanan, Nader or Gore get into office... sorry about that...

CL is exactly right. These third party guys have no chance of winning. Every vote for them is a vote taken away from Bush (and I love Bush). It's Ross Perot's fault that Clinton got into office in the first place. I have no explanation for his second term. Most US citizen's are sheep. They believe whatever they're told. You have to admit, Clinton is the king of BS. Al Gore runs a close second.

Voting for a 3rd party may take away votes from other candidates, but part of voting is making the choice you feel is best. I am not endorsing any of the 3rd party candidates. Though, I will vote for the person that I think has the best intrest of this country in mind, regaurdless of his chance of winning.

The right to vote for whomever you like is the American way. But 3rd party candidates seem to help the Democrats get into office. Sometimes you have to choose the lesser of two evils. As someone else so eloquently stated: Voting for a 3rd party candidate is basically the same as voting for Al Gore.
