It was a non-native variety of bobcat anyway. It was Venezuelan. No wonder it was stalking.

tandblov, any animal killing chickens will get shot. People raise chickens for food. If they live too far from a source or raise them because its cheaper, replacing them isn't a good option. Shooting the cat is. It only costs one bullet. Unless you're a bad shot, then it costs another bullet or two.

But hey, I hate cats.

While I am no hunter, and have no desire to hunt, I would have originally thought, such a shame to kill a creature such as this, however, living in the rural country areas for a lot of my life, I also know the dangers of predatory animals. They can definitey wreak havok on a farm. Ive seen it first hand. Dead chickens, goats, etc.

This is someone's livelihood or part of it. I cant blame the animal as we encroach and deplete their natural areas at an alarming rate, but I do believe in some instances, killing an animal is warranted.

Actually we had a bobcat sighting at work not last week.

Anyway, Mike, if you are ever in the St Louis area, let me know. I might not be a country boy, but I live here and like good cigars and spirits. More than welcome to stop by for a St Louis Herf

There's a nice one hanging around my friends acreage. I'll be sure to post pics when I pop a cap in it's ass.

I'm going to have it tanned and made into a rug. I've also been keeping an eye out for a nice badger (rug).

I'll posts some of the pics we've gotten off the trail cam, it's a big cat!

I'm sure those bobcat burgers are tasty, being corn-fed-chicken-fed and all...

Maybe a few bobcat-kabobs to go with that? Mmmmmm...bobcat-kabobs...

Best hope Pacman shows soon, sat down with a slide rule last night to figure out the algorithim by which FGMs Buck thread is gaining on you. The buck thread should excede the cat thread in total posts around post 479, about 10:30 pm on May 5th, 2012. Sounds like should remove a rear paw, make a "lucky charm" from said paw, shoot a few pics to post and send it to Charlie. IMNSHO
