He'll fight for freedom
wherever there's trouble
GI Joe is There.

GI Joe: A Real American Hero
GI Joe is there.

It's GI Joe against Cobra and Destro (Changes to Cobra The Enemy.)
Fighting to save the day.
He'll never give up he's always there.
Fighting for freedom over land and air.

GI Joe: A Real American Hero
GI Joe is there.

The spoken part should read: GI Joe is the code name for America's daring highly trained special mission force. Its purpose: To defend Human freedom against Cobra. A ruthless terrorist organization determined to rule the wrorld.

He'll never give up.
He'll stay till the fights won.
GI Joe will care.

GI Joe: A Real American Hero.

GI Joe.

I'm a little older I remember "GI Joe, GI Joe, Fighting Man from Head to Toe" circa 1964

I still have most of my platoon of Joes in a box somewhere along with the jeep and trailer, Gemini space capsule, and a non hasbro german staff car and motorcycle with sidecar

I had a mortar that would actually fire projectiles oooooooooooo

My talking Joe "take the jeep and get some ammo" stopped talking years ago
I took it apart and it had a strip of tape with 5 or 6 grooves in it that would play the voice like an old edison phonograph

I even have an Aussie Bush soldier and a German storm trooper with MP42 machine gun

I always wanted the jeep that came out when the Rat Patrol was on tv with the mounted machine gun in desert tan but never got it

EI, I already had mixed feelings about playing with a Major Matt Mason "action figure"- couldn't make the jump to the larger GI Joe. Thought it looked too much like Ken. I played with miniatures (1/32 scale?) - romans, cowboys, civil war, Napoleonic, USMC, Afrika Corps, etc.

But it's ok if you played with GI Joe.
Ditcha change him into lots of different outfits, tickle him, & take him to bed with ya? LOL!!!
