Mccain gets an automatic check in the respect column for his ordeal in Vietnam. having said that, his politics are awful. with Republicans like this, who needs liberals?? this guy speaks out of both sides of his mouth, he says he wouldnt take the "low road" to the white house while at the same time bashing Bush, says he is a champion of campaign finance reform while at the same time has his own snout in the trough, and he was one of the Keating 5 involved in shady S&L dealings. the list goes on and on. i loved it when Bush said something like "Mccain has been ringing that 'iron triangle' like a dinner bell for donors"
