Postman just showed up with a surprise! Here's the current contents:
(1) Gloria Palmera (5 quantity) (Rob - are we each supposed to take one of these? If so, THANKS);
(2) Five Vegas Piramide (left from Rob's add);
(3) Wall Street (left from Rob's add -- I'm keeping it upon Rob's recommendation);
(4) Carlos Oliva;
(5) Dos Hermanos;
(6) La Favorita;
(7) Romanticos (I'm keeping);
(8) Signature Collection (I'm keeping).
I don't know much about the new adds -- R.S., if you can, please give us your insight. Here's my adds (and my far-below-expert ratings):
(1) Romeo & Julieta Cedros Deluxe #2 -- name speaks for itself! A
(2) Napa Reserve Robusto -- I, like Rob, picked up a 5-pack of these -- not bad, not excellent. C
(3) Peterson Robusto Tubo -- in my opinion, a really good mild cigar. B+
(4) Flor de Oliva Torpedo -- just got a 5-pk of these. The wrapper has slight sweetness -- maybe they do something to the wrapper like they do to Carbonells. Probably doesn't have an "exquisite profile of complex earth undertones" or "increasingly rich spice characteristics", but I just liked it, to the nub, baby. B
(5) H. Upmann 2000 Millenium Torpedo -- Hey, I'm just a nice guy. A
I'll have it out of here today, headed to Timinator. I'm going to try to rig up a little square of paper towel w/ distilled water -- let's replace every stop so these things don't get dry.
Have a magnificent day!

You'd think my space key was broken! To others posting: use the "-" key or "." key to add spacing. Or, depending on your mood, use these keys: #^*@$+#! I guess the board is set up to save space by removing spaces and new paragraphs. I suppose it's a good idea. Don't want anyone shooting blanks out there!

unklebill, i think those cigars need some time in a dor. why don't you hold the box until you return from london. i won't mind the wait.

Gotta wait and see. Even with a current list, I can never make up my mind until it is in my hands to choose from. There are occassional exceptions to that rule though. We'll see when the box shows up. It wasn't at the postal center this am when I went there.

That delivery stinks! I shipped Priority shipment Friday -- the box should've been by Monday! Oh well.... Did the cigars arrive in decent shape? The Gloria Palmera's were a little on the dry side when they got to me. Maybe the soaked towel squares helped a bit. Thanks for the bonus cigars! Enjoy your new finds!

They were fine. I added a "Cheesecloth-in-a-baggie" humidifier as well. That should keep the package in good shape for a while throughout the journey.

you're next unklebill. my legs are crossed in anticipation.i would like to take this opportunity to share a "review". took my son (10) and a coupla his buds to fly kites on sunday afternoon. searched the dor for something appropriate and settled on a te-amo. got this in a sampler back in august so it's had some time to age. being the fool that i am, i didn't measure it. would guess about 6-61/2 inches and 44 -48 ring. my uneducated guess would be a "relaxation" or a "satisfaction" in maduro (because it was black). WOWEE!!! burned even, not hot, slightly sweet taste and about half way through a hint of dark chocolate (never thought i'd understand that phrase).smoked it to a nub - YUM!!! will have to go looking for some of these and stash them away.

Sounds like you 7 guys have a spiffing time passing that box aroung. Having followed You "talking" on the boards, I did think that the cigars generally being send on would be some very fine sticks. - Don't misunderstand me. - I can see though that most of them are the ones I purchase/would purchase myself, therefore I'll consider myself being one buying decent cigars although most of them are ones at aprox $10 or less a 5-pack. I do envy You all being part of this pass, but since I live in Denmark, Europe I can only look, read - and envy. Just to let You know that You apparantly have a good thing going. Keep us posted on what happens.

Unclebill, you loved what last album? The one by the Hansons? Please, my name is not Hanson, but HansEn - Hansen, and I have nothing to do with the youngsters of the group in mention. I don't even like what they do as well. So Unclebill, it's Hansen. Anyway, have a nice day too.
