To my utmost fear I discovered one of my cigars, a Partagas, has developed a damaged wrapper. It has started to unravel. What can I do? Is there anything I can do? Apart from smoking the darn thing right away. Should I ditch it? Can I cure/mend it? Eventually mail me at [email protected]

A few months ago I had the same problem with one of my prizes. I picked up a product called "Cigar Repair" at my local tobacconist. It's a little jar of tasteless gooey stuff, vegetable cellulose, similar to the stuff rollers use to finish cigars; I think they use it to put the caps on. It works great!

that is correct, and at my tobacconist it is called cigar doctor, and I use it often also. I believe since you live in the Netherlands you may have trouble finding it, a little bottle cost me $8, but that little bottle will last a very long time. If you would like me to get a bottle and mail it to you email me. Maybe you can email CI and ask if they have it.

This may be wrong but I have used a little corn starch disolved in distilled water and apply it with a Q-tip sparingly. It seems to work well and doesn't effect the burn/taste. FYI, duck tape burns terrible! :]

Likewise not a good idea, and if you're familiar with the commercial construction industry you may have tried this, is Dow Corning 795 silicone sealant.
