Yes, I actually smoked a Gurkha cigar.

A Gurkha Legend Aniversario perfecto, punched in the middle and lit on both ends. :)

(Wouldn't want to waste a good cigar on a stunt like that)

See look, it didn't explode. It even looks like a decent burn considering how it was smoked. I knew you had it in you to smoke a Gurkha Coop.

No, but I still haven't been able to get the taste out of my mouth.

Blech.

The upside to lighting both ends was that the cigar burned really, really fast and shortly after this photo was taken, it became way too hot to smoke and (drum roll) the wrapper fell appart on one end.

That's not the look of "stoned" but rather the look of pain, baby, pure pain...

Getting ready for the Scuba trip, and practicing with a Gurkha. Someone finally found a good use for them.

Nice work TG...

Good stuff TG.

And by that I mean the pic, not the incomprehensible act of having to smoke that Gurkha.

#14 I joked about smoking a perfecto that way back here, seems like 1.5-2 years ago. Some n00b asked for the best way to smoke one. I've mentioned it in a couple other threads since then.

#26 Could be. I don't claim to be a historian. However, when I first offered it, the reaction seemed to be that no one had heard of it before. Then again, as n00bs traipse in here, things that are old hat to us FOGs seem new to them.

Either way, I'm pretty sure you're the first to man up and actually post a pic of yourself in flagrante delicto (pun intended). Kudos to you.

BTW, if you hate those Gurkha Legend Aniversario perfectos and want to rid yourself of more, I'm game for a trade. I love them.

Just for the record, shortly after this pic was taken, one end was clipped and I proceeded to nub it. I thought it was ok but not great.... But then I have been to smoke PI's.

Still taking credit for my idea, dammit.

See #3 at http://www.cigarbid.com/...geDisplay=0000000176330

Compare the dates. J'accuse!

I've applied to the patent office minutes ago. The next person who tries to steal credit will pay a heavy price!

In person, the notorious Thunder Gerbil really does look like Jean Reno (think "The Proffessional 1994" AKA "leon").

I thought he was an assasin sent to kill me. I managed to keep my cool and survive. For now.

RE #46

Come on Cuz...,

First, read 23, 26 & 28 - we had this discussion already.

I never claimed originality of the idea, especially since I first heard it suggested sometime in the early-mid 1990’s.

You very well might have been the first person to suggest it here, and, IIRC, your suggesting of it goes back much further than 2008, I seem to recall you saying that at least as far back as 2006.

I only take claim to being stupid enough to actually try it and post the photo.

Gringo,

LOL.

Thanks - although I think Jean Reno is taller than I am, and I know he's thinner...
