Get a load of the bids on the Padron Anniversary 64 series. They are already up over retail. I sometimes worry that cigar bid may not be making enough money to continue with their good deals......then a few bidders come along and alleviate my concerns. God bless America....HAPPY INDEPENDANCE DAY TO ALL OUR AMERICAN LIST FRIENDS.

Ya know, I dont' get it either. It msut be the lust of "winning" that gets to these people. I've seen it before and this site is no different. My guess is it could well go even higher than that, who knows. I like to win when I have beaten the good old retail price, not to mention when I beat the wholesale price. I guess it takes all kinds

It's great.....that is the beauty of these auctions. Some poor person does not do their homework and BAM as Emmeril would say and they have paid higher than their retail tobacconist would charge them. They are giving money away so we can benefit...don't dwelve on it but rather embrace it with open arms.

even though i bargain-hunt with the best of them i overbid once or twice on items i couldn't get locally. but to me it was not overbidding ,couple weeks ago spent may be 10 bucks over retail to get a box of fuentes that i'd have to drive 30 miles to get around here. but what the hell i saved a lot more than that with c-bid.

I have to agree with kevinw. People should understand the dynamics of local markets. Hell, just the convinience of being able to do buisness from the comfort of home is worth a couple extra bucks to me. I try to get as good a deal as I can but sometimes that means I get a box I would have difficulty getting otherwise at the retail price. This is rare because like in most places, the tobacconists here will rob you blind if you let them. So lighten up on the so-called overbidders. What I dont get is when people bid way over the needed bid without using autobid. That I cannot understand.

I know this subject has been bashed to death but I
still dont get it.. I understand that local stores are
WAY overpriced, but why bid more than you can secure
desired stogies at a handful of internet sites. Surf
the web at only reputable sellers.. find the best sell price, taking shipping charges in consideration... And
there you go.. It just frustrates me that I try to save a couple bucks and bid.. wait a few days and somebody bids well over many well know internet sites
that are totally reliable and trustworthy.. Find the
REAL market value and post your bids.. I'm sure some
people forgive the savings for the convenience.. Well
you know what YOU PEOPLE.. I can deal with that !!!!
May all of you stogie smoke'in internet freaks have one
H$## of a good Holiday !!

Cayman2b took the words right out of my mouth. Realize that when I say retail.....I'm talkin bout internet retail!! Hell, if it's convenience you want, you'd never have to get in your car to buy anything....just shop the net. Everything that CB puts up for auction can be found on the net at reputable sites. I guess for some it may be the thrill of the win!

Know what you mean. I always check the going price on the CI retail side before bidding. Just bought the 5 Vegas Vintage last week for $29/box and noticed the other night that a box was already at $35/box with another 4 hours of bidding to go. Where's the logic in that? The only reason I found the auction site was through the retail site.
