After reading several recent forum entries re: keeping your smokes bugfree I need some advice. I've several boxes and 5-packs on the way and wondered about the advisability of freezing the boxes while they're still sealed. Will this achieve the same result as putting in smaller groups of smokes? Any ideas?

I don't know of anyone who freezes their cigars to prevent bugs. If you keep the temp. of your humidor below 75 degrees the eggs won't hatch. I've only been smoking cigars for about three years, but I have never had any beetles and I don't do anything high-tech to keep my cigars at the right temp. I keep them in a room out of direct sunlight in a converted cooler and they do just fine.

Thanks for the feedback Fez. It's just my paranoia popping up again. I haven't had a problem either but didn't want any livestock making tracks through my smokes. I just moved my larger 'dor to a cooler room so that should take care of any real or imagined problem. Thanks again.
