I have purchased two different style torch jet lighters in the last month and neither one ignites on a regular basis. You click the trigger on each and nothing happens. It's like they are out of fuel, which is not the case. Does anyone have any suggestions? thank you for your time.

I have had that same problems with butane jetflame lighters I have purchased in the past..I have been using a Turbo Torch Lighter for the last year and have had no problems at all..The diference between the butane jetflame lighters and the turbo torch type lighters is that it uses a standard disposable lighter inside instead of refillable butane..I love it..Each one last about six months with everyday use..Try one of those.

Also, if you wnat tot ry and fix your butane lighter, try SLIGHTLY moving the filament where the spark is created over so it is just to the left or right of the fuelholes...It may ignite then..Or maybe thew fuelhoels are clogged or the sparker filament is not igniting the fuel..Hope it helps

Sometimes there is too much air in there....other times just a little adjustment works. Turn the torch all the way down. Click to see no flame. Turn the torch up in 1/8-1/4 turns checking for fire all the time. Eventually, it should fire. If not,try getting some compressed air and blowing it out (just like a keyboard). If that doesn't work; turn it over, push the fuel outlet, and drain out all the fuel. After it is empty, keep pushing the button until it quits hissing. This burping process clears the fuel chamber for pure fuel. Those quick fixes usually work.

I've also bought one of those lighters and the thing works well. Try ajusting the screw in the bottom as described in another answer. Also ajust when refilling it.
