I don't think Kurt Warner deserved the MVP. I understand that he has immense talent, but I feel that he is much more the result of a great system than he is the most VALUABLE player. His team mate Marshall Faulk deserves it. The prood lies in the fact that when Kurt was hurt last season, Trent Green filled in and put up "Kurt Warner" like numbers. Yet Green is a mediocre QB at best. The SYSTEM is what gives Kurt his outstanding numbers. Heck, look at the INT category. Faulk would be the best player on ANY team. Kurt is only the best because of where he is.

i like warner, not only because of his ba**s to keep himself going in spite of the fact that no one thought he could make it. but, i must admit, without the system and without faulk he would be hard pressed to do what he does. the rams are so high powered because of the coaching staff. they don't care about interceptions, hell the offense is only on the field for a half a dozwn plays and kick the pat. no bs from the coaching staff "this is a building year for the defense." they just fixed it... what just happened, did we agree?

Whoa Hoss, Trent Green is not a "mediocre" QB. He will lead the Chiefs back into contention next season after his first full season at the helm, with one of youngest teams in league! Warner deserves the MVP! Charlie

IMHO Ahman Green of Green Bay should have got MVP. If not for him the Packers wouldn't have even been in the playoffs.

I think both Kurt Warner and Marshall Faulk are deserving of the MVP but both reep the benefits of the offensive system. When Faulk went down with an injury earlier in the year, the Rams didn't play nearly as well but the replacement still got his yards. When Warner went down, they played terrible! I really think that Jim Miller of the Bears is the most deserving! LOL

I believe he only got a vote or two, but in all honesty Tom Brady of Boston or New England or North Bedford or whatever the Patriots call themselves should have been MVP. Look what they did with him at QB! Now I am not saying he is as good as Warner or Farve, but he damn sure was the Most Valuable Player on Patriots team! Charlie

On the Tom Brady subject: It is true that Tom was the catalyst for the Patriots to realize their potential and then some. But his numbers after his first 4 starts have been anything but allstar. Other than his completion percentage, his stats are slightly better than "good". The reason he has remained the QB is not his ability, but his results. I like the kid, and he's fun to watch, but it's tough to compare him to someone like Warner. When Warner came from nowhere, he did it with record breaking numbers. Brady can't seem to throw the long ball. Defenses are learning to beat him. His decisions have been near perfect, but the execution is average. Don't be totally surprised to see Drew throw again before the playoffs end.

I'm from St. Louis and I agree with the original post. As good as Warner is, Faulk deserved MVP, he rarely makes mistakes. But as great a QB as Warner is, he seems to be getting more and more prone to throwing to the wrong colored jerseys. GO Rams!!! Steve

Gannon? Does losing your last three games propel you to MVP status?

Rick, don't get so sensitive, I agree that St Louis is going to win the Super Bowl! That is pretty much a given! But Trent Green is going to lead KC back to the playoffs next year.....you can remember I said that! He had a horrible start in the first 5 games of season, but turned out pretty good in the end and that will carry into 2002! Vermeil will do the same job in KC he did in St Louis ( I HOPE )!!!!!!@ Charlie
