I have been a Pittsburgh fan for almost 23 years now. I have followed them through the thick and thin including their last Superbowl. I am never boisterous about them are come to near fistacuffs when talking to other fan's of the opposing team. I have my Steeler wear and license plates and all that good stuff. I admit their shortcomings and thrill in their victories. But all you must realize they are the only team at this point which match up with the powerful almost unfalible Ram's. I see them at the Bowl playing the Ram's but as much of a fan I am I can't cut my throat and say I see them winning. If they do I am very happy. The run game and pass game for them are in full rhythm right now. The defense showed all of you on Sunday that they are the stingiest team in the NFL for allowing yards. Even if you hate them you must admit.........they look good and have a shot at the enchilada! GO STEELER'S! I bleed balck and gold!

I wanted the Bears and Steelers in the Super Bowl, two of the oldest franchises in the NFL. Unfortunately, my Bears forgot that they had to play the Eagles first! John

I am a long time Chiefs fan and that makes me a fan of Bill Cowher, who was defensive co-ordinator in KC before he went to Pittsburgh! I also like the Steelers for the hard hitting tradition of their defense and I was a big fan of Terry Bradshaw and the linebacking crew that included Hamm, Lambert and Andy Russell! Those were great teams. Charlie

That's all well and fine, but the coach of the Rams said one team played them better than any team all year. That team was the Patriots. yes, it was outdoors at Foxboro, and yes the Pats lost, but that's what he said. So who are we to argue.

Eagles went after Miller. They got him and a $35K fine. A very cheap way to win. The Steelers will embarass the Pats this weekend.

Well........what can one say? Another near miss. I congradulate the Pat Fan's on a well played game. I still believe the Steeler's are the better team just had an off day............but that is football and those are days you just can't have in the playoffs or any time. I guess next week will be a blow out.........not saying which side. The only bit of good that may have come out of losing in the division championship is that you won't at least lose in the BIG DANCE! That would be even harder to swallow. Until next year.......I have to jump from AFC to support the NFC next week. After all, Warner was once a bagger at a grocery store like myself......good luck Kurt!

Let me get this straight: you are saying that you are glad you lost today INSTEAD of going to New Orleans???!!!
You must be kidding. I don't think that says much about Steeler fans. I won't be remortgaging the house to bet on the Pats next week, but today PROVES they can stand in with ANYONE.
THIRD TIMES THE CHARM!!!

Let me get this straigt: The Steelers are the better team, but they lost ? Then why play the game? This isn't college Einstein, this is the NFL. Playoff games ELIMINATE the WEAKER team. "Weaker" can be a measure of their skill, or of their mental preparation. Either way, when you score LESS points it's a loss. But look on the bright side. In your own words, at least you won't be able to lose in New Orleans! I don't understand how that can be considered a positive, but then again I didn't root for the losers...

Well it is like the old saying goes.........nobody ever remembers the loser's. In the Bowl who can really say that it was great to lose the big dance. I'd rather not even be tempted than loose.......Of course most Pat fans would never know because they don't get there often...........but the last time the Steeler's lost in the Bowl with O'Donnel QB'ing was bitter hard. It is like candy in your face and a dollar short..........no thanks man, I had rather not loose the big one and be remembered as the looser. Sometimes losing is better. And yes, the better team does sometimes loose. Lack of prep for game.........yes, not being mentally prepared............yes. But who cares, theres next year. As far as being devoted or questioning that...........I don't think you can be one to judge. I pulled for my team through the worst and admit a loss and keep on going. Maybe that is why Pitt has 4 titles to your how many?

I love to banter about teams more than anybody, but I'm going to stop because you used up all of the childish retorts in one fell swoop! For your information, the Pats went to New Orleans in 1996. Yes they lost. Yes, it was tough. But if you're not prepared to play the game, then get out of the way. Of course, that's what you and your weak Steelers did Sunday. Best rushing offense in NFL???? I think not. If we played 10 games, the Pats would win 9. We'd give you one just to prove Kordel right (the best team doesn't always win, you know).... By the way, are those tears from getting beat up by the Patriots, or from choking on sour grapes? Either way, you've got your handy dandy baby**** yellow Terrible Tear Towel to wipe them dry!
