Subject: Mag IX.....it's on it's way

Hey everybody, The box is on its way to Jim. As most of you know, the box was getting a little ragged so I took the liberty of putting everything into a new box (mailing box that is). It should hold up for awhile I hope. Takes were as follows: Hoyo DeMonterrey DBL corona, Remedios Robusto mad, Tabacos San Jose Epicure and a Padron 2000 nat (delicious). Puts were: Punch Robusto nat, LaGloria Cubana #4 robusto, Hoyo DeMonterrey robusto nat, and a great mystery stick in cello (I hope someone will identify it!...shhh its a secret). I also put a bonus bag of 4-Licenciados Churchill and 4-Lone Wolf Torpedos. You all can take one or the other. Happy smokin' everyone!......Brent

I saw Brent's puts. You can just put me after him next pass. How is everyone out there? Hope you're having a good day. I'm heading to lunch with fellow "herfers" and then a trip to the local tobacconist to pick up my first Opus X. Yes, finally, us down-home hick Texans done got them Fuentes to send some our direction. I vowed to never spend this kind of money on a stogie but, oh well, aren't vows made to be broken? (Or is that "rules"? If you're reading this, my dear wife, that was purely a joke.) Good day, guys.

Came home from work to find THE BOX!! Not sitting on the porch, baking in the sun; my eleven year-old daughter figured that it must be the box of cigars she has been hearing and reading about, and brought it inside where it could be cooler.

On to the important information:
PUTS:
La Finca Torpedo
Flor de Farach Torpedo
Macanudo Vintage 1993 #2
Hoja XXO Belicoso Fino
Arturo Fuente Hemmingway Short Story

TAKES:
Tamboril Corona - Sumatra
Punch Robusto Maduro
La Gloria Cubana #4 Robusto

The box will be leaving Michigan tomorrow heading for Iowa and Rob!!

Me first! Me first! Seeing what Brent & James added, I'll volunteer myself to go as close to the beginning as possible! It's good to see everyone seemed to increase the quality a bit on this pass. I'm excited to see what pass #3 has in store. I've got a couple of my favorites I've decided to toss in when it gets to me. (No, not the Opus X, but still some tasty ones!)

Hey guys, Yes, I too think a change of order is a great idea. That way we get as much variety as possible. Plus it gives us the chance to know each other a little better, as far as our likes and dislikes. I found myself wondering what I thought the next guy might like to try and so forth. You know what they say, "variety is the spice of life!" I'm just grateful I met 8 great guys who appreciate one of the finer aspects of life.......Thanks!....Brent

Cliff how about a report on the Opus X? How many did you pick up, and when are you going to try them/it? I am already thinking of my puts for the next round. It has truly been a pleasure, and thank you all!

I bought two of the Perfecxion #2 (torpedo). Man, I want to try one, but I've heard of these for so long and they look so perfect, I don't know if I should smoke them or frame them! I also picked up three others, one Double Corona and two smaller ones called "Reserva D' Chateau" (49 x 7), for Brent. He had sent me a note to grab him some the day I was going to the tobacconist. Hey, Brent, they're heading your direction today!

Yb the way...unkabill, Had one of the Opus X's after my wife and I celebrated our anniversary. It was a Reserva D. Chateau (49 X 7), that did not fail to deliver. Sometimes the first couple puffs of a cigar are a crapshoot as you well know. But this one was great from the very first puff. Loads of great smoke that got better as the cigar got smaller. There was a very nice sweetness to the tobacco that was not overpowering. It was aged to perfection and the wrapper was a terrific deep brown with a hint of oilyness to it. A truly great cigar that burned as straight as an arrow. I would grab another in a heartbeat....Thought you'd like to know.....Brent
