If you were to apply the RICO statue (Racketeer, Influence, and Corrupt Organization law to persecute the Mafia) to the federal government, it fits perfectly. Our federal government has turned into a self-serving institution with no incentive to actually serve the people of this great country. Politicians only motivation is self-preservation of power and accumulation of wealth at the publics expense. All the while sacrificing every moral, value, and principal this country was founded on. I want to give a thanx to the founders of this wondrous country, where young men go to serve in political conflicts they don't believe in. They do this only to serve there brothers in arms and families at home. Thank you founding fathers for giving us the right to prepare and execute the rectification to this situation, exercise your right. Arm yourself, and do it well, so that when the public stands and says "ENOUGH" you are not caught without protection. And you will need it, the federal government doesn't care about you and will gladly step on every right of yours to ensure their preservation. So thank you founding fathers for the Declaration of Independence, so that we may use it again to rid ourselves of tyranny.

This is the first and last time I will post in the politics category.

Oh and BTW im a proud owner of a Glock 17 and an AK-47. So politicians beware, I will take many of you with me.

Whether it is right or wrong, or for better or for worse, things really don't seem to change that much until people pick up guns.

Personally, I think that the result of the changes isn't really worth fighting for. There are some universal laws that you really can't alter; one of which might be "If you're not the lead dog, the view never changes".

you are entitled to your opinion, and you are probably entitled
to your glock and your ak47, and i tend to agree with your
opinion that the congress and the senate are interested in
preserving their jobs and not at all interested in your life, liberty
and the pursuit of happiness. the founding fathers never
thougt of being a member of congress or the senate as a
career choicer. they thought of it as an obligation to your country.
serve your few years at no pay, and then return to your home
and family and personal obligations.

but first one guy and then another figured out they could get
paid, sell favors, and get special parking for their horse and
buggy, and then leave their service with the government and
start selling their personal contacts to some company that wanted
a special road to their factory, or exclusive rights to some
waterway and then a few laws to kill their competition.. damn
this could be the start of something good for elected officials.

a lot better then going home and looking for a job where people
called you, "get the mop and take care of the wet spot in the
toilet." instead of the honorable mr s h i t.

but...........

when you hear a knock at the door in a few nights, i'd make sure
your wife and kids are safe,

the government has bazookas, and swat people, and airplanes
and probably a whole bunch of stuff that will melt your glock, and
if you have an unlisted phone number, the ears have that
already.

these are not the guys with red coats that stand next to each
other so you can win a stuffed monkey if you knock a bunch of
them down.

tread carefully, we have not signed any agreement against land
mines.

Your oh-so right about the land mines, and the fed's being much better prepared than I. But its not the military nor the police I quarrel with, quite the contrary I have enormous respect for people that serve such honorable positions in society. I know any endeavor against the established regime is fraught with peril and I do not pretend to know how it will pass, but I do know you can only repress your own population for so long. Im just happy our military is staffed by citizens like myself.

Funny and a bit entertaining how people will get worked up and talk about armed resistance to something. MUCH easier than getting involved, work in a campaign, encourage good candidates, educate yourself, run for office..........I believe in the second amendment also, and yes I have weapons. The pen is mightier than the sword, get involved and work for positive change. Exercise your first amendment rights, far more lasting and effective.
