If we survive long enough some day we're gonna look back at political correctness, open borders, deficit spending, and the dumbing down of our kids and say, 'What the hell were we thinking?'

And there was a time in this country, a long time ago, when reading wasn't just for f a g s and neither was writing. People wrote books and movies, movies that had stories so you cared whose ass it was and why it was farting, and I believe that time can come again!

I'd venture to say that you are wrong Dadzilla. You see, all of those horrible things you mention are signs of our progress and growth. I'd be more willing to bet that one day we'll look back and say, "remember when people actually existed that thought other people were lesser humans than they were? Remember when those people all died off?"

Here's the deal...

There never were any " Good Old Days".

Democracy is messy and that's a good thing...

Define "long time ago".

I mean the Ice Age was a while back, eh?

Technically, we're still coming out of the last Ice Age but some just call it "Global Warming".

These are the things dadzilla listed:
1. Political Correctness
2. Open Borders
3. Deficit Spending
4. the Dumbing down of our kids

So, dsmokers, please explain how these 4 things are signs of our "progress and growth".

Thank you.

This is crazy I read all these liberal posts and really weep for our future. We have our forum friends and the current socialist leadership castigating the "rich" as nothing but pure evil and the "successful" as purely selfish for not giving away what they have worked hard to acheive.

The America as we knew it did die when liberals embraced branding the "rich and successful" as the enemy and nothing more than a teat to feed the unwashed masses.

Two parting shots...

Name me ONE poor politician?
What happens when the teat is dry?

In 1997 I married my wife, we earned a combined $70,000. With effort, hard work, through good fortune and bad we have been able to increase that. However this is not the good news you might think, because now we are considered "RICH" and therefore must be penalized to pay for a ludicrious liberal dream of a utopian society where personal acheivment is derided and dependency on others is totally acceptable if not completly endorsed.

Actually, we used to just go and kick some ass. But due to the pussification of America, we kinda leaned towards becoming the world's bitch and pocketbook.

We need to kick someones ass again.. Whistle

I'm curious to learn how you equate spending ourselves into oblivion, lack of border security, lack of proper education (not indoctrination...education) for our kids, and blindly clinging to progressive orthodoxy with 'progress' and 'growth'.

By somehow not being blessed with the sort of liberal horse sh*t thinking that is so rapidly screwing things up in the last several decades ... the country as we used to know it has devolved to the point it is hardly recognizeable and unless something is done soon, we will go into an irreverseable death spiral within another generation ...

It is the folly of the weak-minded, when attempting to engage in debate he would have us believe is somehow intelligent, rational and logic, to simply fall back on name calling, without respect to whether there is any sense at all in trying to label another person. As though applying a moniker on someone else makes it so.

Name-calling has failed to be persuasive as a recognized debate ever since "I’m rubber, and you’re glue" was first coined. It is childishness and idiocy, attempting to masquerade as fact and reason.
