Unemployment numbers represent those who are "actively" seeking employment. Given that, I would guess that the unemployment rate is actually around 7%, and will keep going lower each time they extend unemployment compensation [to boost the economy]. 7% isn't so bad.

I'm going out on a limb and guessing (that's right, guessing) that before his term is up, he's going to initiate actions that will start holding "news" organizations responsible and accountable for thier actions and reporting. Perhaps a disclaimer before each segment (it worked for the PMRC...f*cking TIPPER!), or even a re-labeling of channels to reflect opinion vs news.
But he will only try to do this for "conservative" talk/news channels, right?

There won't be any mud-slinging from his side, he'll just let the other side throw crap around enough that everyone gets sick of it and like Palin did for McCain, they'll dig their own graves. Good.
there will be no mud-slinging from the dems...yeeeah....riiiight...good one.
....smart cookie....that was even better.
