La Aurora proudly stands as the Dominican Republic's oldest and longest running factory, among all industries let alone premium, handmade cigars. For well over a century, this veritable fortress has been producing some of the world's finest super-premiums. Despite a healthy portfolio of finely-tuned cigars, it is the Preferidos line that reigns supreme. Considered a masterpiece, each Preferidos is crafted in a small, separate factory in true old Cuba fashion, by one dozen master rollers, using the factories finest, oldest tobaccos. These tobaccos have been aged for at least 4 years, in many cases much longer, with a significant portion of this time being spent in aged rum barrels. After rolling, each Preferidos is put to rest for additional aging, a minimum of 6-8 months in the Aurora aging vaults.

The 93-rated Preferidos Cameroon is luxurious, utilizing a supremely high-quality, genuine Cameroon wrapper from Africa. Beneath this leaf, a choice Dominican binder secures a full-bodied blend of prized long-fillers from the Dominican, Cameroon, and Brazil. The smoke is flavorful yet balanced, offering complex notes of sweet cedar, cream, cocoa, and semi-sweet spices.
