i placed an order for tins of dfm, 3p and dunhill deluxe navy. considering adding the escudo navy deluxe but will that be too similar to the dunhill?
also need a recommendation for an oriental blend, never had any. i like tobacco and like the vapers, any suggestion?

First 3 choices are excellent if I may say so myself.Man that Peterson's Perfect Plug with a hot cup of joe in the morning is unparalleled.

I have some Escudo airing. The first few times I tried I was under wowed.Time will tell on this one.

My favorite oriental blend is Rattray's Red Rapperree.I don't visit it all that often but when I'm in that mood this is my go to.

As for a must try Vaper....Dan Tobacco Hamborger Veermaster is a must.It may have a touch of burley in it but i still consider it a vaper. One of my top 5 at present.Another couple is Mcconnell's Scottish cake,Reiner's Long Golden Flake(my favorite among this group)and Samuel Gawith's St James Flake.

Think I picked my last 2 tins up for about $19.These are 100 gr tins so......not as good a deal as I get on Orlik's Golden Sliced but about average for tinned tobacco.

There's a Walgreens up the street from where I work here in Odessa.A friend I work with was just getting into pipes.....he strolls up there to the WG's and buys some of the BG Cherry. When he gets back he's all excited and talking bout how he loves cherries......and why didn't I tell him about this wonderful stuff.I just sit back and munch on my popcorn if you know what I mean.He opens the tin,I must admit at this point it did smell good, and goes on and on about the aroma. He packs up the bowl in his little Grabow,no drying and this stuff is goopy as all get out,and proceeds to attempt a charring light. Finally he gets it going but he has to puff like a freight train to maintain the light. After about 10 minutes of this he walks over to the dumpster and throws out the tin and the pipe.He turns around, looks at me and says"I always wanted to know what 3 week old crotch rot tasted like".I fell off my chair I was laughing so hard. His tongue was numb for 3 days.He no longer works out here but I do talk to him on the phone regularly and I always remind him that friends do not recommend BG Cherry to friends.

Picked up some very cherry last night. Left it in the car when I ran to the grocery. Came out and my car smelled Wonderful. We don't plan on smoking in this one, but wish it would hold that scent.

Hmm, use the cherry tobacco as poppeir....popoeire...chit, smelly stuff and take the dried stuff off the top to smoke as it dries out? (referencing Whistlebritches "gooby" post above?)

Anyone else notice a big spike in pipe and tobacco auctions today? Is that a Tuesday thing or due to recent acquisitions at the Mother Ship?

SIP.....slowly.

Also try some Mac Baren's Burley London Blend.I've never been able to make it bite and sometimes I get carried away.

If you need a burley to teach you to sip try Peterson's Perfect Plug.......this stuff is so good sipped with morning coffee.

93 1q in the same briar

My first two and enjoyed them both, now can't wait for my order to get here, is it common to have to relight multiple times.... My second bowl smoked much easier than the first

As much as I love that Stanwell...........I retired it to the shelf, broke out a brand new Great Dane Spool, loaded it with Frog Morton's Cellar and poured me about 3 fingers of Larceny. It's been a while since I've had any baccy with latakia in it.......but I do love me some FMC.
