i am going to order some of the sam gawith 1792. claims to be a stronger flake-agree?

gainesville has 5 pipe shops but all are very limited in selection and carry mostly aromatics. locals seem to like glass pipes and blends i am not familiar with-columbian, mexican and a local grown gainesville green

I bought some 1792 bulk....4 oz IIRC.I didn't care for it at the time.Been jarred 6 or 8 months now I may have to revisit it.As I recall it was VERY STRONG in nic as was the flavor, which I did not care for at the time.Maybe time has settled it out.I did read somewhere that people who smoke this are not into it for the flavor.......they like the nic hit.I'm all about flavor myself.

I actually enjoy the meticulous nature of it, watched multiple videos but just can't tell if I'm packing too loose or too tight.....and definately can't get it to stay lit for more than a few puffs most times..... But am enjoying the entire experience

The wife just looks at me like I'm crazy

1.Each baccy has its own intricacies when it comes to packing.Takes a little time and patience. This is why it's important to learn one cut proficiently before moving on.I jumped into flakes very early....but ribbon cut and shag were easy to figure out.Still working on those flakes but progressing nicely.Been doing some plug as well.....but I cut it just like a flake.

2.She's just doing her job.

120 - Prince Albert in a cob.

Best burn yet since starting back into pipe smoking. Let air a few minutes, then packed in the 3 fill method but more loosely (looser?) than before. Charring light, then one light and almost burned the whole bowlfull. Slight scorching on stem inside bowl at last.

Hey critter, sorry didn't see this before I pm'd you earlier. If it doesn't work give that other method I suggested a shot, best of luck... if all else fails I'd be happy to give it a look, I know how much sentimental value an old trusty pipe can mean to someone.
