bacardi mojito.

kraken mojito

dont judge me i had these left over and decided to make mojitos so i could get rid of the bottles.

bluwater (jeff's recipe)

hapened at the FnH, but drinking mojitos is a creeper for me. simple syrup (sweet) makes it hard to guage how drunk i am.

im done son

Pampero is #2 on my list of favorites, just a notch below Ron Zacapa Solera 23.

Just tried Dos Maderas 5+3, Guyana Rum aged in Oak Casks for 5 years and then 3 more in Jerez Sherry casks. Pretty tasty and smooth. About $30 here in high liquor price Oregon. I'd buy it again. They have some older reserve rums in this brand, probably worth a try as well.

I had Flor de las Antilles Toro with it. That was a tasty pairing.

I've been up to my nether orifice in alligators with work the last year and traveling to kick some wayward sub-contractor's butts that richly deserve it to try and get them to actually build product to our specifications, which is a constant battle given that my brethren in the procurement function have driven them to rock bottom pricing.
But I'm still on the right side of the turf, living indoors and eating regular meals. So what's not to like. Thanks for asking. How did that vacation on the Cape go?

the Cape went very well, thanks. It hit me when we got home that it was the first time in maybe 10 years or so that my entire family slept in the same house together (plus SIL, son's girlfriend, other daughter's friend/not romantic!, and the star of the show, granddaughter Evy). It was a great week in a great part of the Cape, Orleans.

and I made a bottle of Pampero Anniversario disappear.

Centenario Anejo Especial (Costa Rica)
very nice and very cheap. Not in the sweeter style of a Zacapa 23 or Zaya. But a nice, lightly sweet, long finish. Should be excellent with tonight's cigar...

I used to love Ron Zacapa 23. Then it became too sweet for me. I dunno why... just did.

If that's a zinger, you're gonna have to extrapolate. I've had a few beers.

ha! no, I really understand. Z 23 used to seem unbeatable to me but now my tastes have changed and it is sometimes just too sweet for the situation.
I still love it, but it can overpower some cigars.

You are funny when you are drinking
