Beautiful Aroma of the Humidor

I've been handing around this site for a while and first time posting here. I've been a poster, follower, along the smiley jam, but first time here.

I've been through a few humidors and over the years wound up with a few. One was my "to smoke" 50 ct, and had another RP 100 from here that held my rotation and new sticks. Well, I decided to push the smaller one to a family member (was charged, aged and just a bit too small) and use my $50 100 ct humi with a pretty cool RP logo on it. It, by the way, is my first purchase from here.

Well, over the years, it's held some beauties, from the reconquista, rocky vintage labels, staple VSGs and Padrons, and a mix of some serie R limitada, and San Cristobals. Mostly torps and toros. I use the crystal gel to keep it in check. This summer is glorious. I opened up the humi last month and a beautiful aroma filled the room. OMG! (16yr old OMG! for emphasis), and I felt right at home AND set the stage for what would become one of the most relaxing nights in a while.

Grabbed a RP 92, hit the patio, lit the fire and gazed at the stars with my glorious smoke and a glass of wild turkey american honey...

Now it's what I look forward to all week! Herfing

Welcome.

Sounds like you don't use kitty litter.
Sorry, had to.

Enjoy

Hey OMG it's like so good to see ya. Look another new old guy everyone, hehe! I really think we should keep this one. Please, can we can we can we? (Said in a mutual 16 yo voice). I love the smell if my humis. My coolidor though? It's insane to me how strong that thing smells. When I go to reach for one I want to get one that smells like it. But there are none. One day I'm just going to light the contents on fire and take a big whiff and if that doesn't kill me then the retrohale will. On my dashboard it will read: "RIP What a waste!"

And yes. *love* the initial smell of my humis when I open them.

Meh, on humidors.

The effectiveness of a properly lined cooleridor cannot be understated. Especially for aging cigars.
