They acquired another brand. Not that many of us are head over heels about torano cigars. General is going to kill the cigar business, when's the last time you raved about a cao.better buy all the leccia too, before they change the blend.

I have enjoyed the Torano Exodus 1959 50 year box-pressed that I got as part of several samplers. Thought they were well made and tasty. Found one in the bottom of the humi yesterday that had been there about 6 months and it was very enjoyable smoke.

From the article in CA it looks like General has been manufacturing the Exodus line since around 2010, so maybe they wont mess with the blend.

Don't think they'll kill the cigar business. Kinda reminds me of the beer business. General is the Bud, Coors, Miller and the like with scattered "premium" offerings. They offer "staples" to appeal to the masses. Just like I drink a Bud, MGD or Coors Light every now and then, I smoke an occasional Excalibur, Punch Rare Corojo or LGC stogie, all decent smokes. The part of them that I avoid is the over-priced and over-hyped lines like Cohiba and Macanudo. An indication of the effectiveness of their marketing is that those two lines are known to the average non-cigar smoker, and are considered by them and newbs to be top line cigars.
