I assume in here is no different then most auctions..It can b real easy to get caught up in the hype..That being said its just a matter of patience and experience..I have bid higher than I should on items that I have been patient and bought for dollars less per stick.....Now someone please explain why someone would go that high for a DE ff or any cigar to a degree????Yes better stuff costs more money but are they really as good as prices paid???just curious

Ya, I've got pissed off at people bumping me off an item I wanted and overpaid (relative to what they usually go for) just to piss off the other bidder.

I've also jacked up prices on people trying to jam me off an item I didn't care if I got or not just to make them pay more.

Put some of those ebay skills to work.

Good times.

Alas, the other side is true though too, I've ended up stuck with a couple things that I was trying to run up, doesn't happen often, because there's some really determined bidders out there, but it does happen.

I generally don't run someone up ...and honestly don't remember paying more than msrp or reg. Price...I usually wait for deal....Now I have bid on cheaper sticks then im like why ...I could have paid few more bux for stick I really like.....I am behind alot since Christmas and run outta tabak and naturals..de which has never happened.I been looking for return trade sticks to get back to ppl who have been very generous to me...So I put my wants on hold this week...Now I can return fire with very nice smokes in exchange for the cubans sent.....I can't say enough of everyone...stinger...buckweat...illini....pufff....and gary...I just hope they like returns as well.....nice hit on stinger by the way...nice

Up to $191 for a goddamn 5 pack of Pigs. WTF is wrong with people? I truly hope someone is just running these up because you have to be out of your ever loving mind to pay almost $40 a stick for a NC.

I have been watching these bids go beyond the reg CI price and was wondering why myself, this post answered it, so over bidders and platinum members cause a problem that is always trying to be avoided?....I'm confused. Just when I thought I was understanding this site bid workings, lol

Talk to cs about the platinum membership, that way you don't have to worry about it.

Don't know why I'm still up, must go to bed...

Before I do though, I gotta do some finger exercises, some strength training, gotta do some finger curls. Maybe a little cardio.

Gotta keep those fingers in shape for all that excessive clicking of the bid buttons.

To all my fellow noobs, and fellow pervs out there, very important to have a fast finger.

Here it is. This is the overbid thread I was talking about I'm going to keep bumping this one up towards the top so maybe others will post in here with their overbid observations. I kind of like how this was a running log of overbids people noticed and then posted to this thread.

So post all your overbid auctions in here if you would please. Herfing

I got a question...I was just bidding on item which was on quick buy at ,say 20$bid at 17...when I bid quick buy disappears and bid price goes to 23.00$ ...Yes I'm confused ..please explain..should I have hit quick buy instead,?would it have mattered...and lastly I assume cbid puts up x number at that price then bid takes over???,I've not seen this before...generally says auction closed...thanks

I'd say someone else just bought out the quickbuy as you put in your bid.

I have to refresh my browser as I'm looking at auctions or else I'll go to put in a bid only to have it pop up that I underbid. Someone else beat me to the bid from the time my page loaded.

Overbids I noticed are the usual de stuff ,the 52,etc,etc...doubt those change anytime soon..I'm gonna check local honey hole.just for comparison sake and c how the ffg, lpetc lines stack up..He don't do much with De though worth a shot???

The only thing more ridiculous would be a cigar that size in perfecto. I'd forking LOVE to see that.
