Won these yesterday and needed some opinions, I've smoked a few I got from a few guys on here but
don't know how much rest they had.

1. Was this a good buy ( the places I found were all around $140)

2. How much rest do they usually need? (For the guys that like these)

I'm prepared for some of the smartazz answers...... ie "try one a month until they're ready"
but I really am looking to keep it sealed for a bit and was curious.

Thanks in advance guys Big Hug

Very good deal. Let them rest 4 to 6 months. L'atelier is my 2nd favorite brand.

I figured so but wasn't sure bc I saw them and put my max bid in.
I was shocked it only had 3 bids, guess I just got lucky lol
I honestly thought I would be outbid

1) $4 a stick is a Good buy in my book

2) 'try one a month until they're ready' is actually the best advice, you never really know when a certain cigar is going to peak. The halfwits on halfwheel will review something and say 'this will get better with age' and then review it again 9 months later and say its past its prime.

But if you don't want to hear that, then I'd say open a year from the box code on the bottom of the cab.

Nice score................DP would give ya a high five......
I'd not smoke any until 6 months.....and save at least half the box for a year.

RIP DP..........

Those are no good.... Aging won't help. Send them to me and I dispose of them. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...

Only had a fiver, and Gifted 1, smoked the other 4 . Good smoke. I didn't age them much, had one ROTT, and smoked the others within about 6 months. I enjoyed them, will have to buy more to age/rest

I think they are a black 'blend'. I thought they were ok based on their strength(light/medium).
The skull breaker and bone crusher are/were my favorites for the strength and flavor they had. But $4 apiece is a steal.

Good buy. No rest required. They don't change much in less than 24 months, anyway. I like them well enough, and at that price, I'd have done it...however, they aren't the first, second or even third Surrogate that I seek out.
