Home, picked up girls around 6:30 and they are fast asleep. Time for some quiet time, a beer, and a cigar ;)

As expected, a totally different vibe this year. Jeff was missed. BUT, we still had quite the feast. From deer sausage, smoked turkey, grilled and smoked salmon, pan-fried halibut (omg it was so fcking good), ribeyes, and much more, no one went hungry. If you did, you were a vegetarian.

Prop definitely manned the grill most of the weekend while others also pitched in and did a ton. Did I mention Ray making the pan-seared halibut? Joan, BJ, Thelo, and many others helped a ton.

Company was great, cigars overflowed, brotherhood and sisterhood were kept alive and new friendships were made.

Dont feel like doing a huge synopsis, but a couple of highlights (or lowlights I suppose):

- Dont ever leave your cheetos out around Prop.

- It's pronounced "SELLO", not "CEE-LO"

- Dont expect to guzzle 1/4 jar of moonshine and not soon pass out

- Not everyone smokes just cigars at the herf....

- If you borrow money or trade cigars, be sure to follow through on your end

- 2-wheel drive Ford trucks dont do well in mud

- It's ok for one hillbilly to tell another hillbilly that they aren't a real hillbilly

- turkey necks sometimes look like penises

- no matter how many times something falls over, some people NEVER give up

- Someone lost a lot of weight since last time I saw her and she looked fabulous

- The herf can go on without Jeff, but it would be a lot cooler if he was there

See ya next year, assholes!

Got home around 3:30 am today.
Had a hard time getting home with a stiff neck and headache and stacked vision. Surprised I wasn't called on and stopped for drunk driving.
Todd and Hillbilly, check yourselves for ticks. I found a deer tick that had me in the small of my back and we got it out and now I feel better.
Blu' We all missed you but had you in our hearts and prayers.

Ray, sorry I didn't get your levy done but I couldn't do the cooking and the cutting. You are Beaver free though, until the next one finds your lake.
Ray I really appreciate what you let me do this year. It was what the Dr. ordered

If any of you got offended or didn't have some fun, then you was at the wrong address.

Got home yesterday at about 6:30 AM. Slept most of the time 'till now.
The Mando Clan (me, 'bro, Joan, Paul, Craig) all enjoyed the weekend and already planning to return.
Ray, thanks for the hospitality.
A big thanks thanks to the folks who did all the work, cooking, clean-up, store runs, etc. Without you it would not have gone as well as it did.
To old friends, was good to see you again.
To new friends, glad you could make it and hope to see you next year.
To missed friends, sorry you couldn't make it, you were missed. And Blu, you were missed, my prayers with your dad, you, and your family.

Hello everyone. I'm John Lynn. (cincyfire). I come with the Cincinnati crew. Texter, Tucker, and we Brought 2 new guys this year that I think are welcome additions. I was able to come this year on a freak fluke of a situation. My father passed away on march 1st. while on an extra alarm fire in late march we lost a great brother and friend on a fire scene. then as if that wasn't enough my mother passed on April 7th, very sudden and not expected. I had mentally cancelled the trip. The funeral home that was prepaid was booked and my mothers funeral was schedualed for Monday. I learned this and told my family I was going to miss. My sister was the only person in my family that understood. she told the rest that my friends I was going with were as much family as any. and they were as much a support system as staying home. I had no idea what kind family every sole in miss actually are. The quality of people that come there, are truly amazing. I know I wasn't myself on this trip and I was treated as a member of everyones family. Like a brother, son, or just friend. And I don't say just friend lightly. I was dejected and depressed and not myself but was cared for as if id been coming for multiple years. I have no words to express the kindness in my time of despair. then at the council, on Saturday night they bombed me. I asked Todd and Ray to pick someone else. I knew I had some pent up emotions and couldn't handle it. They refused, and I broke down like a child. A grown child that lost both parents and a dear friend in a span of 5 weeks. I bawled like a baby. It was one of the most emotional moments of my life. I just want to say a special thanks to all. I honestly don't know how to say in words what your kindness and friendship meant to me. I came home from Miss, buried my mother and then had to clear my parents home. Disposing or giving away items that meant the world to them. I kept everything that was given to me in separate humidors, because I will think of all the guys there, there kindness, generousity, and compassion, every time I smoke one of those cigars. I cant say thank you enough, or more emphatic. God bless you all. Esp Ray and Todd for selecting me. You people down there made a difference in the darkest time ive had to endure yet. Ray im praying for your daughter, and I'll call you soon. Thank you again from the deepest part of my heart to everyone in Mississippi for getting me thru the weekend and making a difference in my life getting thru this. God bless you all.
