Who cares? If it's not hurting you, don't hurt your brain about how others are spending their own money. Just enjoy it for what it is.

Oh thanks noop. I was really stressing, now I'm not thanks to your enlightening post. Go read the faq and shut the **** up already.

We get all that, it's just hilarious watching people blow money over bidding, this is a post showcasing their stupidity and lack of self-control of which we all are guilty at one point or another.

It's fun to point at the other guy and laugh.

These usually go for $28 per box.

Not trying to get under your skin, just welcoming a new guy that comes in here and tells us all what we should be doing.

Go read the FAQ and I bet your first post would've been different and my reply would've been different too.

No one needs to apologize for picking on a noob that seems to be asking for it. If they don't like something here, they are free to go away and suggesting that seems reasonable.

In that case welcome to the madness. Herfing

Buy a cooler, buy one bigger than you think you'll ever fill up with boxes. It will get filled up.

Boveda packs can be recharged when they get crunchy. Just put them in a ziploc with a dish of distilled water. It takes some time but it does work.

Look into digital hygrometers if you haven't already. I have two of the hygroset hygrometers that I got from here. Tells both temp and humidity. They're small and can be moved to different areas in the humidor/cooler to check humidity levels. Humid air rises keep that in mind.

It's a good place with even better people,

Anthony

$31 on CI

http://www.cigarbid.com/...e-Tattoo-Adivino-Gordo/

$33 on cbid

Don't delay, overbid today!

That's not totally awful. If they already have an auction won they're paying $33 plus $0.50 shipping versus CI $31 plus $5.95 shipping.

Oh let me add, these are only $5 at my B&M, so both prices are overbid/overpay...even after Cali sales tax.

Ok I'll add to my overbid case evidence. Smile

I got two five packs of these on FF for $17.72 each.

Just to anyone reading I don't take any of this serious it's no different then looking on eBay to see what people are bidding for items. Only difference is here we have a place to post up the bids that stand out.

I enjoy the hobby of buying and collecting cigars. There's nothing better then opening up my humidor/coolerador and smelling the goodness that fills the air. Other then here all of my friends are only occasional cigar smokers and none really know much about cigars.

A few of the early bidders should get their boxes for $28.

The probability is decreasing that $28 will get them now that we're informing the masses. But hey, I'm not buying and think they're atleast a $3.10 smoke anyhow

But that is still under CI's price of $59.99. Hardly seems like overbidding. If you are trying to compare it to a price you paid earlier, then just about everything is more then we use to pay.

This is the same price as CI, except CI has been backordered. Hardly an overbid.

Now don't get me wrong, I set my limit at about 2/3 of CI's price, and if I don't get something, I know that in a day or two, another one of the same thing will be listed again. Just last week, I set me limit on a box at $106, it went for $142. A week before, I got the same thing for $103. Now we both paid way under CI's price of $158.99, but they paid $39+ more then me.

The Perdomo Epicure 10th Anniversary Reserve Champagne; 6 x 54, sells at the Mothership (for the same box of 25) for $103.99. So, if my math is correct this guy saved $55.00. Whether they're worth it is another story but a little over $4.00 a stick ain't bad unless it's something like Free Cuba.

I am not sure where you found them on CI for $103.99 for a box of 25 Epicures, but if you will share a link, I will buy some there.
I am the bidder who got them on CigarBid for $103. My point was to not get hung up on a single auction, since in a day or two, the same brand and size will be up for auction again. Just set a price you are comfortable with, and wait.

Perdomo's Champagnes and Champagne Sungrowns are a real nice cigar, especially at $4-5 each. He really doesn't make many that I don't like.

And that's a good thing?Think ,and Mountainman, singles and 5ers go for $6 to $7 each(last few auctions I've bid on),so how is paying $9.40 each not an overbid, unless of course you won them?Anxious

What is it an overbid of? The price that you would pay at CI? The low price that you got them for at an earlier auction?
I don't consider it an overbid if you paid CI price for something that is on back order.
If you mean it is an overbid because they paid more then you did at a previous auction. I am sure you have never gotten something here that has been the lowest price ever for that cigar. Did you overbid then?

I guess I am just curious what you consider an overbid?
To me, an overbid is paying more then you could have gotten it for at CI.

And no, I never bid on those cigars, so implying that I might have been the bidder is ridiculous.

MountainMan..........
You have been here long enough.....
You know EXACTLY what an overbid is..........

But, just for the growing batch of noops that have stumbled into here lately, I'll explain it again:

"An overbid is paying more for any particular cigars, than did DP Newell."

See how easy that is?

We are all overbidders................

RIP DP...........

I know, but my wife was out of town and I was bored. Figured I would yank a chain or two.

I really haven't been on the boards for years, have ben too busy smoking all of the Ashton and PAM 64 torpedoes that we use to be able to get here for under $10 a five pack.

But all that aside, I remember never paying more then $15 for a five pack of the original Rocky Patel Sungrowns before they changed the wrapper and I still have a few Ashton VSG' Enchantments from where I picked up a box for $172.

RIP Underbid Auction Cigars....lol

Odds are they will be backordered for a while. I won an auction two weeks ago on a box of 10 Oliva Serie 'V' Melanio Maduro Torpedos, that were on backorder on CI. I got an email saying that some how the inventory on the computer was wrong. They said I could cancel it, or wait. It was such a good deal I said I will wait. Tick, tock, tick, tock......lol
