well...you purse your lips around the head of the New World cigar after you clip it. Apply fire to the open end and puff softly to light it. Purse your lips over the cut end every minute or so and pull in some smoke into your mouth...blow smoke out of mouth and nose.................................smokes (didn't say "taste") like a Padron...lol

As someone whos never had a Padron (out of my price range).... EVEN I KNOW THAT. What was he thinking?

I mean, I enjoy the New World, but... that's just silly. You cant compare the Mid-Shelf to the top shelf.

His exact words were actually better than a 20.00 Padron so yeah we're in the top shelf range. Not the highest end but top shelf.

I've had a New World, I'll say that it does kind of smoke like a Padron... but it tastes like an AJ Fernandez.

With that said, I do like them... just not as much as I like Padrons.

I guess my mind was on the Padron loundres corona i had the other day.....an under $4 cigar. Not real impressed or lets say not top shelf IMO...liked the New World better but definitely different. Another cheap Padron but one i really like are the maduro corticos....about $3 a pop. They smoke longer than you think if you dont rush it. I can get the 1964 maduro for $10 which is nice on special occasion.......

Though I have heard quite a positive buzz about the New World from folks who have tried it......the jury is out for me........need to try again......for the price it is hard to beat.......a $5 smoke in my neck. Toro better than Robusto???

Have an AJ NW hiding somewhere I have yet to ash one but can't imagine it comparing to even the 1000 series maduros, but that's just me.

Oh, it's not. I buy one from time to time at shpos, it's good if you like AJ Fernandez stuff (I do, just not all the time), but don't expect a Padron out of it.

I say it smokes like it, because it's box pressed, and approximately the same density.

I do indeed enjoy AJ's offerings in fact I seek one out in the humi when I'm desiring something full bodied as most seem to be.

You are exactly right that it is a decent smoke for the $ but to intentionally equate it to a Padron was my only point. Thought that it was odd that you heard the same thing as me was all. Will I be buying any? no
