Whic of the three do you guys like best? So far, I have tried both the Montecristo and the Romeo y Julieta. I like them both but give the nod to Montecristo's version so far. Which surprises me as I dont like much else by Montecristo.

haven't tried the H Uppman yet.

What say you?

I have tried the RyJ and really like them. I have some of the MC sitting in the hummi right now napping until the urge strikes me to pull one out. But after your assessment, I may have to retrieve one out from its slumbering state tonight. Strictly for comparison purposes only though 😉.

MC media i had was very smooth but i think it had some age on it. Pleasantly surprised....nice with coffee.

I tried the MC this morning and it seemed a little harsh compared to the RyJ I tried. As a matter-of-fact, I nipped it about 1/3 the way through to save until later today. Based on what tampatom said, I tried it with my morning coffee. I think they need more rest to be good. I will let the remainder of my 5'er sit for a couple of months before I try another.

After re-reading tampatom's assesment, I thought it important to add that I just got this 5'er of MC Media in last week. So they are only factory/distribution aged at this time

I've tried the MC and the HU, and the HU is far better. Never tried the RyJ.

BTW, collectorchris: I've never had good results when I snip a cigar and save the rest for later. Somehow, they don't taste as good...not sure why...

I agree, they never are as good, I did have someone tell me to blow back through the cigar after you snip it. I guess it gets the smoke out of the tobacco so it doesn't just linger and permiate into what's remaining. It seems to help somewhat.

Brother in law likes the Montes.

I dont care for em. Had those and I don't recall if HU or RyJ, but none impressed me.

I've tried the Monte and RJ but prefer the monte. However the RJ was a close second. I think both are excellent blends and both have good construction and taste. They are both a couple of my favorites.
