Q, sometimes they have free shipping with a code. Just did so recently and maybe even now. You should apply for platinum membership.

Wow, I'll bet the "successful" bidder was happy to hear how he screwed himself.

That's all I see when I look at stuff I normally like to buy on here... Overbids/Mediocre bids left and right.

Hopefully when the summer is over, bidding goes back to normal.

That's literally twice what I paid for the same box.

you overbid... an acceptable winning bid would have been $46 (USD), $34 (DPN)... rip...

Hope I haven't been guilty of overbidding. I lurked a lot before I started bidding, watching lots of what I wanted to buy close out to get a feel for the price, and then I always have the item price from CI also. Lose a lot more bids than I win, but that's ok, I am a patient man. LOL

You undoubtedly paid too much. I always lose more bids than I win. On a typical week when I'm bidding I will put in around 200 bids and win 10-20. If I were to bid on 200 lots this week, I would expect to win 3 or less. Thanks for keeping the lights on and may your chute open as well as your wallet.

My bad, half that much would have been $44, I paid $46 (not half).

So according to this legendary DPN guy I never met but heard legends about, I over paid, it's alright though, I think they're worth $2.50 a piece.

OK, I'm still a noob, but I don't get this one. I've never seen them go cheap. Are they worth this?

I have a few in one of my cabinets I haven't smoked. I like the LP9, not enough to get a box, and I would say no they aren't worth it especially what they will clear when the auction ends. I assure you its gonna be way higher.

I like how the ad states: "MSRP: $30.00 per cigar." Not even they have the stones to say: "MSRP: $6,000." Laugh

Yup here lately it seems FF auctions are the better deal.

I got 2 fivers of tat nobles for $17.72 on FF then saw a fiver bid up to $25 on an auction.

Also splurged last week and got some liga no. 9s for $58. No liga privada no.9 or t52 has sold for that little here yet and I have been watching.

I lucked up and won a 5'er of Liga Privada 9 last week for $53. Applause

Got another 5'er of LP 9's last night for $53. I am in Peneacola right now and just went to a local shop and paid $14.50 ea cause I just couldn't wait till next Friday. Puffing on one as we I type this. Big difference in that $78 retail for 5 of them vs landing a 5'er on CBIB. I read someone say no real deals left on here, but I beg to differ. Those two auctions saved over $50 on 10 LP 9's alone.

The recent dearth of "Quality" smokes up for auction here and elsewhere appears to be creating upward pressure on pricing of even "Yard rocket" cigars. Correct me if I'm wrong on this but a recent perusal of items currently offered here found not a single bid worthy item. At these prices it will be less expensive to buy a handful of quality cigars to sample at the local B&M than winning a fiver here. This is all purely intentional I'm sure and I for one am not going to play the MAP game or bid up prices on inferior cigars. If I see something I like at a good price I'll take a swing at it but chances of winning are looking pretty grim right now. Lucky for me I have several hundred sticks salted away and don't smoke more than a handful a week so, these should last for quite some time. Things could get really ugly before they get better again but, I'm a patient man. Of course in the meantime I'll still hang out here and offer up insulting remarks occasionally. A man's gotta do. Smile

I've bought bundles of these for under $30 (not recently) and seen them go as low as $22 for a bundle of 20.

When they first came out, they sold them on quick buy for something like $3 a bundle... True story...

Auction is not close until 2020.

In 4+ years, with MAP, Fed, State and local tobacco taxes, that may be a bargain.
